She crossed the halls of the old, broken down warehouse she had entered in an attempt to evade him, yet he was hot on her tail. Chasing her as she wove in and out of each forgotten crate of once precious cargo; the plastoid of his boots made that wretched sound she had grown to hate with every fiber of her very being as he closed the distance between them

She finally had enough and whipped around to him. Her scream sounded more akin to a disheveled tooka as she caught him by his shoulders. He blinked in both disbelief and awe at her. He only chuckled at her grasp as he gently dislodged her fingers -gentle to not hurt her-
"Cyare, I'm impressed by your strength! I could almost feel your fingertips through my armor!"
Which was a lie. They both knew it to be so. He so often would say white lies in an effort to either cheer her up or to try and inflate her ego. It never worked. Nothing he ever did to make her love him ever seemed to, yet he refused to give up on her. She let out another yelp as she grabbed hum again and started to shake him.
"Why! Why do you keep trying! Why do you keep pushing a relationship that will never happen!? I have rejected you time and time again, you stupid, karkin' clone! Go find another who would actually love you how you deserve to be loved, daink farrik!"
With this, the trooper simply smiled and rested a gloved hand on her cheek; He took just a few moments to appreciate just how incredibly beautiful she was in his eyes. Despite herself, she leaned into his touch as she huffed from the sprint and shake. He quietly spoke to her, accent thicker then normal
"Why do I push a relationship, you ask? Simple cyare. Five years for you is ten plus for me. Within twenty years, I'll likely be dead while you're still thriving. I request again and again, potentially selfishly, to taste the sweet embrace of your affections for the brief time I am here; allow this man on borrowed time peace while he is here, alright?"
