Tonight marks three weeks since the boy brought his parents’ killer to justice - and his first night on the field as Robin. Summary 21:06 -
The signal lit the sky. We reached GCPD in eleven minutes. Gordon reported a theft - one case file, Pippo Pizarelli, taken from his office by Two-Face. Singular target. Not Harvey’s pattern. He never deviates from duality. Something’s off.
21:18 -
We tracked one of Dent’s men to the city bridge. Robin spotted him before I did. Good eyes. The man dropped an explosive on the car—minor damage. Alfred will have it restored before next patrol. I engaged vertical drive to test Robin’s adaptability. He passed. His listening, however, remains inconsistent. I distracted him. My mistake. He hesitated mid-jump, lost momentum. The thug went for his weapon. The cape absorbed the impact — Waynetech polymer, energy-resistant up to .950 caliber. He’s unhurt. This time. The goon’s escape led us to what appeared to be Dent’s hideout. In hindsight, the trap was obvious. Robin rushed ahead against orders and triggered a pressure mine. I did the same trying to stop him. One misstep away from losing him on his first night. Unacceptable. Dent talked long enough for me to assess the situation. Refused to reveal why he took the Pizarelli file. He did mention a new crime lord moving into Gotham — someone who’s been embedding soldiers in the city for a year. Claims they’re preparing for a war. Against me.
Robin was afraid. Understandable. But he held steady. When the time came, he followed my lead -jammed the mine with a batarang, fired the grapple, ran on my mark.
Involved Party Two-Face (Harvey Dent) Observations Dent’s deviation from his pattern suggests outside influence or an undisclosed motive. Or Gordon may be withholding information. The stolen file’s contents — and why Dent wanted only that file — remain unclear. The claim about a new “boss” establishing operations in Gotham demands verification. If true, the city’s underworld is reorganizing. I’ll need to act before they build more power. Dent wouldn’t invent this. He flipped for it.
Performance Review: Robin For a first mission, his performance exceeded expectations. He adapted quickly under pressure and showed initiative. Reckless, but capable. The instincts are there. The discipline is not. He ignored direct orders — nearly fatal. I’ll need to reinforce command structure in the field. Consider new training protocols to temper his impulsiveness. Realistically, it may never be trained out. But he’ll learn. Or he won’t survive long enough not to, and that is not an option. Filed by: Batman

My first night out as a hero was a total success. Summary 21:00ish - We saw the Bat-Signal in the sky. I think the commissioner just wanted to save me from that criminology book B and A wanted me to read. (No offense, but it was so boring.) Little did he know he was about to meet the one and only— the headliner, the amazing Robin! (Holding for applause.) Gordon said Two-Face stole a file. Just one. Weird, right? I tried to get more info with some top-tier jokes, but B cut me off. Apparently humor “isn’t mission appropriate.” Whatever that means. We heard what we needed to and jumped off into the city. We were in the Batmobile — oh, and I’m officially calling it that now, because it sounds way cooler than “the car.” We were driving through Gotham when I spotted one of Two-Face’s goons hanging around the bridge. He dropped a bomb on us, but the Batmobile didn’t even flinch. I wanted to eject and chase him down right then, but B just drove up the side of a building. Like it was nothing. This is why we make a great team — we both know gravity’s more of a suggestion. We chased him across the rooftops. I totally would’ve stuck the landing if B hadn’t called out to me right in the middle of it. Still made it, though. The guy tried to shoot at me, but my cape took it like a champ. Waynetech rules.
He tried to run, but we followed him straight to where Two-Face was hiding. Somehow we ended up on pressure mines — long story — but it wasn’t a big deal. Two-Face started rambling about some new boss moving into Gotham. He said the guy’s been bringing in people all year to fight B. Yeah, right. Like anyone could beat The Batman. We got out easy. All we had to do was jam the mines with a batarang, fire the grapples, and move fast. No sweat. Involved Party Two-Face (Harvey Dent)
Observations Two-Face was acting weird. He wouldn’t steal just one file, right? Even B thought something was off, and he knows Harvey. Anyway, first mission = total win. Can’t wait for tomorrow night. Filed by: Robin
