Rage. Violent rage, crippling sadness, creeping apprehension, incoming shame and a wisp of insanity trilled inside her mind. All her nerves were wired with heat and pulsed in tandem to her heartbeats. Rage blinded her, disfiguring her graceful face with twistedness, fury clenched into her hands as sparks seemed to radiate off from her. Black licks of fire burned on every step she took, leaving ash and dead grass a trail on her wake. The ground around her shook, the air around her would have suffocated even the mightiest men. There was nothing to calm her down, nothing to calm her down as she left the now ashen training grounds which she once bestowed to Sun as a boon from the queen. A special boon, one that was given to her protector at the start of her coronation.
She dares leave me. Her queen, her duty. She has shamed her name and shamed me, and for that there will be little forgiveness. Her heart would have tried to create a barrier, that she was not only a queen, but a friend - but the heart cowered with the might of the mind. The hurt and disappointment that dripped with the memory would be her fuel. A Seelie who turned their back to her duty. A new ferocious wave of earthquakes started as she reached the mountainside.
A scream tore through her being, strangled, and in anger, tears wanted to flow freely out of her yet she would not let it. She would not show that weakness, she would not let it burn her out. Sun Young Ri is mine. The Seelie Queen’s protector. Sun Young Ri would rue the day she left her Queen.
With another shout of renewed rage, only the mountainside cried as a landslide started covering her immediate place in the forest, the earth parting as it fell towards her, similar to Moses and his miracle.
