I know people don’t unambiguously love the coming out scene in 3.11, but one thing I do think shows how much the crew have Jack and Bitty’s complete trust is: Neither Bitty (who was really nervous about this) nor Jack (who has a lot to lose) felt the need to remind anyone at the table that this was a secret.  

When they said it, they said it knowing that their friends already implicitly understood it wasn’t supposed to go any further than that table.  3.9 showed us, their friends already completely understand the consequences of them getting outed any more widely, and the level of scrutiny Jack is under.

However they responded in the moment, that group is gonna have Jack and Bitty’s back beyond this.

Fun idea: Write/draw whatever you want and TAG YOUR SHIT.  Maybe put a content note and a readmore! Let people decide if they want to see it when it comes up on their dash.

Some people really like accidental outing stories

Some people are triggered as hell by them.

Some people are triggered as hell by them BUT really like them because they want to see something that’s gone badly for them turn out happy and okay for characters

do it in private where i don’t have to see that and know that people think that kind of thing is cute

because this was literally my nightmares for over a year leading up to me coming out to family and i don’t want to relive that

This update I just fscking....

We have all been ON TENTERHOOKS in SUCH SUSPENSE

because we all know, we all KNOW

that mass media HATES happy healthy relationships.  Especially gay ones in homophobic environments!!!  We all knew what to expect.  We all knew that “Can we talk” isn’t used to signal intimacy and communication, it precedes a breakup.  We all knew that the answer to being unhappily closeted was to break up.  We all knew it.  We’ve all seen it dozens of times.  We’re smart people.

WE ALL GOT FUCKIN PLAYED AND I’M SO FUCKING HAPPY ABOUT IT

The moment Jack realized Bitty was less than 100% happy to be closeted?  He fucking BEGS Bitty to tell people, to reach for outside help.

When he realizes he can’t fix this over the phone, he shows up on Bitty’s doorstep.

JFC I AM SO HAPPY.
