Sunflowers represent strength, tenacity, fortitude, wealth, abundance, motivation, and invisible illnesses everywhere.

The sunflower was chosen for this project and initiative as a reminder to stand tall like a sunflower. Always reaching towards the sun in even the darkest of nights or situations. Relishing in the joy and the knowledge that comes with speaking out about sickle cell anemia + the need for greater support.

And the need for change."

The pegs have come off, I lasted 40 minutes with them on and was in tears and beginning to pant by the 30 minute mark. I didn't know taking them off was gonna hurt as much as it did, they're so stingy and achy 😭😭😭
