In my "soft art auntie" era 🩷🖤🤍 . . My "art studio" is my bed and two small folding tables ✨ ️And all my photoshoots? My phone and amazing lighting 🤌🏾⚘️ . . I cherish art, fashion, music, and community; they save my life ✨️

When I create or intentionally pour into a project, I always dress for the occasion; even if I'm in bed, even if I'm in pain, even if I have panic attacks, even if I have seizures, even if I'm exhausted. It took me decades to cultivate this ease, this calm, this peace, this energy, this mindset, this awareness, this vibe. ⚘️ . . Energy, commitment, balance, and authenticity matter. So does showing up.

That takes alot as a person, especially someone disabled in general. I have a disability called sickle cell anemia, but that doesnt mean I'm incapable ✨️ As I learn how to care for myself; I learn to have immense care for others as well. My expressiveness is a culmination of those lessons, those decades of balancing rest with everything else that autoimmune or chronic illness brings to the table ⚘️ . .
