This ask gave me a bit of a kick up the butt to fix one of the things that bugged me most about the HHS kimono options - that the men's hakama uses the same shoes as the BV yukata, two tongue geta with bare feet. If you don't know formality, that's nearly the least formal footwear you could be wearing (after like, rush sandals or just barefoot I suppose), and it's been super weird all these years to see my men turn up to formal events with the wafuku equivalent of a 3 piece suit with tennis shoes. Formality- kaku- is a really big deal in wafuku, and my autie brain just won't let it go.
So you've got a few options here. I've packaged the mesh edit and texture edit separately, so you can have one or the other if you so wished. This is mainly because the mesh edit is the most basic kind of default there is, swapping out the original GMDC with the new one that has the tiny edit of moving the soles of the geta down over the tounges to turn it into a zori shape. still looks like wood, but isn't glaring. This means however that it affects any existing recolours of the hakama, and if for some reason you still wanted those to have weirdly informal footwear, you could forego the mesh edit an keep the original, but have the HHS hakama show up with tabi if you download just the texture default, which simply switches out the textures for ones that I've edited to have tabi. For the correct kaku formality I'd recommend installing both however.
HHS is required for this to work correctly!

Now this mesh has thankfully been converted for all ages and genders! So I've gone through and added my zori edit to all of them. These are originally by Mijutaro and @whattheskell.

You'll need to delete out the old meshes and overwrite them with mine for them to show. I haven't included the texture files, which can be found repo'd for EM and TM here and for CU, AF and TF here, as well as the PU versions I uploaded here, but I've still no clue who they came from! There's also some older recolours banging around on MTS I believe.

If you’d like to support me making more CC, please support me on my Ko-fi so I’ll be able to spend time on it!
Hi do you have mijutaro kimono meshes for toddler child and teen? I cant not find them anywhere. Thanks!
Oh simsislands is gone? that's a shame, but not unsurprising. having had a dig I've found I have the PU and CU meshes for mijutaro's kimono and hakama. Anyhow those meshes I've reuploaded here. And I'm uploading the repo'd recolour packages for PU here, in case anyone needs them, but I've had a good hunt through my bookmarks and records and I have no idea whatsoever where they came from! @yandereplumsim has recolour packages and a fixed mesh for the kimono, but they're not repo'd. @whattheskell has it for EF & TF, and Magical girl sandbox has it down to CU. Whether simsislands had a repo'd conversion I don't remember and the site was old as balls so I doubt it somehow, aha. If anyone can figure out where they're actually from lmk of course. So ye, I had both the kimono and hakama, though I tend to use my furi more for toddlers because it's weird to see them in kosode. I suppose you came to the right place if you're looking for wafuku CC ^^
The other thing I was working on! Here's a mesh edit to the DSB furisode outfit which removes the weird open sleeves with the juban showing under (heccin strange why would you want your juban swinging all over the shop like that)! Available for PF-AF in 4 patterns/16 swatches casual & formal, fat morphs included, standalone and repo'd to AF versions available! I also included the original DSB colours for anyone who may want em~

The texture motifs are a mix of edited maxis ones and photos I took of my own wafuku collection. I also used these resources: Little apricot pattern ~ Asanoha pattern ~ Kagome Mon pattern ~ Hanami patterns ~ Sakura pattern ~ Japanese patterns ~ more Japanese patterns ~ vintage flowers image. The textures are all my own design (just inspired by real furis, not copies of em) but you're definitely free to edit them!
I will note that these sleeves are very very awkward.
Usual TOU applies, do what you like with em but no paysites allowed!
