Faux Shopping
A few weeks ago, I cleaned out my closets (ha ha I only have one closet) and wrote out a list of clothes that I have and clothes that I want. So far, I haven’t bought any new clothes but I have been on websites like Fortress of Inca, Universal Standard, LiveFashionable, Madewell and Anthropologie. Plus Nordstrom Rack and Nordstrom. The clothes and shoes from most of these websites are far more than I would usually pay but I have decided that less is more. I want less clothes that are higher quality. A lot of my clothes tend to pill. Like I bought a couple cute tshirts from Uniqlo and HomePlus and after 3 weeks in Malaysia they looked like I had them for a good year or 2 instead of a few weeks. I wore a bookbag most days so the back of the shirts were pilled. Sigh. And I did pack light. I bought 3 tshirts total but still...
Anyway, I have been looking at the clothes but I still haven’t bought anything and I don’t want to resort to buying a bunch of cheap clothes that I will be upcycling shortly. The last time I cleaned out my closet I made a rag rug and gave it to my bf. He uses it as a seat cushion. Anyway, that was just 6 months ago. And here I am again.
