6 WEEKS AND GOING STRONG

So by now it has been a complete 6 weeks since I had a couple of surgeries to remove a blood clot in my arm. My 14 staples have been long taken out, the steri strips are gone, and I am finally back to full function. Yesterday morning I dove back into a basic workout but having a couple of months off exercise really takes it’s toll! The old body is a bit stiff and shocked today haha. I’m feeling great and enjoying being more active again around camp. It was hard in the beginning to hold myself back from doing anything too vigorous but in the long run, what is a little month of being more careful right? I think the most important thing I could have done was to stay positive always, and this has really helped me to recover to be my normal goof again.

I have ongoing regular checks at a nearby clinic as I’m on blood thinning medication to prevent a clot from recurring. It is a slight inconvenience but at least I am fighting fit. I still have to be careful about some things and not be too much of a yolo bitch like I usually am!

Overall I think this has made me realise how much of an asset my positivity is, because I have still been having a great summer and I would hate to think how much worse I would have felt if I didn’t look at my situation with such a positive attitude. Gotta keep smiling! 😁👍💉💊🏥
