He wanted to respond with ‘they’re just flowers.’ but as long as he has known Aeris she has quite the bond with these things. The heat already made things unbearable down here, he could only imagine how rough the winters could be. “Hrrmm..” He sighs under his breath, turning his gaze toward the side to glance at the soil. She was losing sleep and for the sake of gardening no less.
“You should really try sleepin’ sometime. If the flowers mean so much to you, I can watch ‘em whilst you take a nap.” He places a hand at his side, pretty much willing to do about anything if it meant improving her own health. But, in his own way to save face as the proud ex-first class of SOLDIER that he claimed to be Cloud raises a finger and shifts it horizontally.
“Services won’t come cheap though, I’m still a mercenary so this’ll cost you.” The blond spoke with a teasing tone, he wouldn’t know if she’ll actually offer him gil or just a flower. Though admittingly these flowers she gives him puts him in Barret’s good graces since Marlene gets every one of them.
