I’ve recently watched an episode from Care Bears: Unlock The Magic called “The Light in the Forest”, and this scene has touched my heart.

In this scene, Cheer Bear and friends rush to the Lake of Light above the Great Valley. Then Cheer Beer tearfully bids farewell to a migrating firefly-like creature called the Sparklewing, who she named Little Light, who is ailing because the migration process is incomplete. Then, Little Light is restored and reunites either the rest of Sparklewings, came came into the lake and become a life form that nourishes the Great Valley.

This scene resonates with me because we all have to continue to grow and change and move on to other things in life.

New “Care Bears” Comic Books and Graphic Novels Incoming

IDW Pubishing and Cloudco Entertainment have teamed up on a new Care Bears comic book and graphic novel program based around Boomerang’s new Care Bears: Unlock the Magic series.

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic pairs the Care Bears with the Whiffles to protect The Silver Lining (the lands around Care-a-Lot) from Bluster and his Bad Crowd. IDW’s Care Bears is written by Matthew Erman and Nadia Shammas and illustrated by Agnes Garbowska. 

Care Bears #1, featuring a regular cover by Garbowska and a variant cover by Tony Fleecs, hits shelves in July 2019.

Boomerang Announces “Care Bears: Unlock the Magic”

A new 2D animated Care Bears cartoon is coming to Boomerang’s subscription streaming service. 

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic comes from Cloudco Entertainment will see the Care Bears on the road exploring “The Silver Lining,” areas surrounding Care-a-Lot, and encountering new creatures. One of these new characters is Dibble, who will become the Care Bears’ pet. Dibble will communicate through limited words, sounds, and coos.
