Kira looked up and saw the man approaching her. This was still a sight she had to grow used to... She pulled her knees close to her chest and glanced off to the side a bit. "Um... Yeah, I'm okay," she told him in a rather quiet voice. After a moment, she continued. "I just...I feel so small here, I guess." That was a start.

"I've stayed alive for over twenty years without needing to rely on others. Why should I start now?" Her tone was cold and straightforward, but in Kira's eyes, her point made perfect sense. The Underworld had been a mess even before the transportation between the two "worlds" was closed. And nowadays, it was a struggle to stay alive.

A group of outsiders wouldn't make anything easier. If anything, they were just more mouths to feed. No one has managed to change anything in years, so why should she put her faith in someone else? Because they think they can change everything.?? Kira's given up on putting her faith in others. She could only trust herself to keep her alive. "People have started to believe that your group will actually help us...but I don't see it. Some of us can't afford to give into false hope."

She may or may not have recently bought a lovely tea set for a certain someone but was trying to find a totally candid excuse to bring it up.
