Kizzie couldn’t be in a bad mood whenever she was in the same room as her cheer team. She’d made the spontaneous decision to join when she passed by a booth during Orientation Week seeking new members for the team. One day spent around the girls witnessing their camaraderie, support, and bonds made up her mind. It was one of the better decisions she’d ever made; she had the pep and the energy for it ten-fold, she learned the routines fast, and she made great friends along the way. So when Christmas Break ended she didn’t mind getting up early on the first day back in classes to attend a cheer prep meeting for the competition at the end of the year. She immediately dropped to the ground and held out her leg, stretching the muscle. Her eyebrows furrowed and she tilted her head to the side as she spied a girl she hadn’t seen before nearby. “Hey,” Kizzie spoke up in an attempt to get the girl’s attention, “I like yer hair. Looks like cotton candy!”
