i know a lot of people talk about the parallels between ness and the ball, but another parallel ive noticed is one between isagi and the blue rose. kaisers whole thing is chasing/doing the impossible, and throughout the nel kaisers goal is to defeat isagi, and he chases and comes after isagi to try and destroy him, but this goal of his ends up being impossible and just out of reach - isagi is always one step ahead of him and manages to outsmart him at every turn, and in the end he straight up defeats him. now, kaisers also made isagi his new driving force instead of just doing the impossible what with the whole “i cant die until i kill yoichi”, its almost like isagis become the blue rose.

yeah!!! i see it ahkkshas i think ultimately isg is more part of the "impossibility" kis must overcome than The Impossibility itself, as i think kis is a serious case "you are your biggest obstacle" in many ways. but i agree!!! with that reading isg def gives blue rose!!

but like. also also also, so this is my bias. but i really like it when "isagi yoichi is a unique existence in michael kaiser's life" like. he is not exactly kis' "al1ice to freder1ck", but he is also not kis' ball (isg yic moves to anywhere he wants) while also not being exactly the "blue rose" alone. you know, a "reminder" for kis to never be passively stagnant and give up to 'impossibility' again. like he is one, isg wrecking kis' life and becoming the herald of change in it is that i think.

but, in a way, i think you can't really pin point the "isagi yoichi" factor in kis' life other than "yoichi". a rival, an enemy, THE wrecker of kis' facade, The Change, etc. like. someone who constantly challenges kis (and the one kis will always challenge back)

(congratulations. you guys are Ultimate Enemies and Super Rival for like. until one of you die and never get up again. which is the actual impossible thing between these two rebel & survivor-coded charas i think)

also about ns & the shitty thing ball, i think i once said it somewhere here, amongst my yappings & nonsense. but i think first and foremost ns parallels the ball because ns parallels kis, especially in his past. and that part is very hard for me to unsee ngl/ even tho i will always say it is not 1to1
