Finally updated my simself after not doing so for yeaaaars cuz I honestly just didn't wanna have to look at myself long enough to make it accurate :p and cuz of the tattoo dlc whatever it was called I was able to actually include my spinal surgery scar which felt important to me :3
I GOT IT, PARALIVES AQUIRED
Guys heeeeelp how do you raise relationships in paralives, I'm fighting for my life out here and not a single one of my relationships has made it past level 1 :'3
Paralives is coming out in less than 24 hours!! I'm so excited!
What are your favourite and least favourite lifestages to play in the sims??
I'll go first- 🎀I love playing with toddlers mainly thanks to all the cute toys made by pandasama 🌸I really like teens cuz there's so much opportunity for drama since your sims are finally almost adults 🩰And of course the young adult stage cuz then I get to repeat everything all over again! Marriage and bAbIeS!
My least favourite stages are probably- 🎀Idk I find children kiiinda boring sometimes, I don't dislike when my sims are kids but I do sometimes catch myself just waiting till their teenagers I think it would be easier if we had preteens- 🌸Also adults are low-key boring to me, I lit never play with adults unless my adult sims still have to take care of their children then obvs but adults are just young adults with a few wrinkles, they don't reaaaally feel unique enough but hey it's the same in real life so that makes sense 🩰Newborns. I do not play with newborns. Ever. They're so boring I could cry
And I'm more neutral towards infants and elders, infants are soso cute buut kinda boring all they really do is sleep and cry, so, realistic, but still, and elders are also to me no different than adults, and there's not much for elders to do so yea, but I don't really dislike anything about them and it makes me kinda proud of myself when my sims become elders :'3
I wanted to do a post explaining how I age my sims to avoid any confusion with my posts and maybe help give you ideas on what you could do in your game? I play on an edited normal lifespan using mccc!
Anyway so I do not play with newborns because honestly they're just boring to me and I feel no need to waste my time pretending to enjoy them
I play with infants for 1 week during this they are 1 years old, I feel it gives me enough time to enjoy the life stage, get some milestones but also keep myself interested
Toddlers also stay toddlers for 1 week for almost the same reason during this time they age from 2-5 years old
I play with children for 2 weeks during the first week they are 6-9 years old and during the second they are 10-12, I change the outfits I gave them during the second week so they look a little older, this gives me plenty of time to get to know the sim and start forming relationships with others
I play with teens for 2 weeks too, during the first week they are 13-15 and during the second they are 16-17, I also change their appearance during the second week to make them seem a bit older, during the first week I like to pretend they're in secondary school and completing their gcse's and during the second I like to pretend their in sixth form/collage and completing their a levels
I play with young adults for 52 days, during this time they are roughly between the ages of 18-35, this gives me time to make my sims go to uni if I want and have children etc so I don't feel like I'm rushing to complete things
Adults are adults also for 52 days, they are around the age of 40-59, it's the same amount of time as young adults cuz they both would last around 20 irl years each so it makes sense for the length to be the same
Lastly I play with elders for 58 days, slightly longer lifespan than adults since we live for so long nowadays, elders are roughly 60-90 but halfway through the lifespan I use a random number generator to decide if they will die sooner cuz it just feels more realistic to me
I've always envied people who can play their game on long lifespan but I just can't cuz I get bored too easily, for me what I love about the sims is creating a story that matters, I want to play for generations because that to me makes my gameplay feel meaningful and if I play with one generation for too long it feels like it defeats the point for me, hope that explains some stuff since obviously everyone plays the game differently :3
Simblr Questions!
eeeeee I've never been tagged in one of these before I'm excited! Okay! I was tagged by @batcythe thank you for the tag! :33
🌸 Age you started playing the sims- okay so technically when I was like idk 8? or maybe 9 my fathers brothers ex gf introduced me to the sims 3 but I suuuuucked at it so I played it only a handful of times then when I got older I remember watching LDShadowlady do the disney princess legacy challenge and it made me wanna play the sims 4! I was around 11 years old the year would've been like 2017??? I think, I remember my dad bought it for me and I promised my mum I wouldn't buy any dlcs-
🌸 The first family you played- I remember this really well cuz it was a terrible idea, I played with a single mum who had toddler triplets, no idea why I decided to do that lol, I remember naming on of them after myself and they were all girls and I played with them in Willow Creek
🌸 Favourite expansion packs- gosh I like a lot of them tbh for expansion packs Discover University is always gonna hold a place in my heart cuz I remember before the dlc came out I would pretend my sims were going to uni and I remember being absolutely obsessed with discovery university when it came out, I think I really like Lovestruck cuz I love the custom dates and the clothes are just sooo good and yea I really enjoy that my sims can buy wine, or buy flowers for their partner, idk I just like it a lot :3
🌸 Things you would like to be added to the game- this is easy, a slavic inspired world omg I really want a slavic world without getting too depressing I feel like there is such a lack of actually good slavic representation in media and as a Polish girl living in England I was SO ashamed of myself growing up and idk I feel like good rep would've made me feel better about myself, and I just want to feel represented in a game I like, I've actually never heard anyone else say this so I doubt we'll ever get a slavic world but a girl can dream right? haha
🌸 Top 5 Worlds- not in any particular order but Willow Creek I know it's basegame but I play in it ALL THE TIME, Evergreen Harbour, it reminds me a lot of where I live so I like it lol, San Myshuno it reminds me of London and I don't live in a city so I think cities are cool haha, Sulani cuz it's super pretty and Mt Komorebi aswell cuz it's pretty haha
🌸 Your 3 traits from the sims- defo childish, erratic and hot-headed
🌸 What would've been your toddler trait?- probably angelic? My mum told me that I was a really well behaved baby and that I never threw tantrums so yea
🌸 Expose yourself! How many hours have you played sims?- currently I have 6188 hours but it may be more since I often play offline after updates come out so it doesn't always update accurately
🌸 Last screenshot you took- this lol cuz I post on my main blog a warrior cats comic that I make using the sims and I was working on it yesterday
tagging- @strawberry-nia @cinnybunsims @who-pressed-undo
idk if it's weird to tag people who have never interacted with me cuz I've never done this before but I hope this is okay! :3
