ALIASES
Lemres has two “secret identities”, these aren’t that secret but he never goes out of his way to vocally and officially make them public knowledge.
CLRMND
CLRMND or Clear Mind is the name he use to sign his graffiti art both on the street and online. It’s the identity he tends to separate from his public-self the most. Whenever he goes outside to paint or post photos of his graphs online he wears a brain-themed helmet. His street art trademark is his use of negative space and overly detailed pieces.

Clarity/The Numbness
Clarity is the “hero” name he chose for himself. He’s not an actual working hero but picking a hero name was an obligatory assignment at Bretzide. “The Numbness” was also a power-based name for him but he didn’t chose it, it was assigned to him during the time he was in captivity and experimented on by a local villain-in-the-making.

Power Overview
Lemres can remove all non-instinctive thoughts in a targeted person for up to 30 seconds. This power does not turn the target into a vegetable since instinctive thoughts such as “breath, “eat”, “defend yourself” and “survive” will persist. The purged person will respond aking to an animal with basic instinct for the brief moment the poser is active which can prove useful when it comes to calming overthink and/or overwhelmed people.
Normally Lemres can only clear one person at a time and must have said person in his direct line of sight less than 3 meters away. However some enhancement have managed to allow him to clear multiple people at once in a radius of 6 meters with no eye contact and with an effect lasting for up to 2 minutes.

LIFE
A Rough Start
Born of two non-mutant parents, Lemres was given away to the staff of Bretzide School for the peculiars when he was a baby because at a very young age he showed sign of his capabilities, occasionally clearing the head of his parents making them worried and frequently disoriented. They were scared of both raising a mutant baby in general and the possibility that he could permanently clearing their minds.
To them the safest solution was to put him under the care of Bretzide, for personal reason they decided to cut all contact with their child and never seeked him out even later in his life when he was guaranteed to be safe to be around. They also made sure he couldn’t reach out to them either.

Growth
While he was mostly raised by the specialised staff of the Bretzide nursery, Lemres grew quite close to Mr.Bretzide himself. It wasn’t unrequited and the two very much have a father-son relationship even if Mr.Bretzide did not officially adopt Lemres at the time.
As a teen he never really rebelled, at least only in a passive and harmless way like wearing weird clothes or altering his school uniform. If anything it was less a rebellion and more him discovering himself and coming to term with his trans identity which he had full support for from Mr.Bretzide.
During his entire transition and early adult years after graduation, Lemres worked as a hall monitor in the Bretzide school where he’d use his powers to calm down kids when necessary. Sadly is hall monitor gig didn’t last long as he was kidnapped and detained away from Bretzide.

The incident
He was captured by a former Bretzide student (He will be referred to as only “local villain” as using an villain’s name may it be their legal name or self-chosen mutant name is considered “giving them the fame they want”). This villain wanted to amplify Lemres’s powers in order to use it to dispose of heroes by numbing them down as most super powers cannot be used purely instinctively. He technically did succeed in creating augmentations that boosted Lemres's powers. To this day he still has plug sockets on either side of his head where cables used to go.
Thankfully Mr.Bretzide raised hell to get him back. Knowing Lemres hardly left the school ground he started contacting authorities and forming search parties since day one. He was found in an underground laboratory 15 days after his disappearance and the persons responsibilities were brought to justice. He even decided to officially adopt him as his son then, tho Lemres kept his last name Moore but added Bretzide as his middle name. (Only a select few people knows about both the adoption and his middle name)
An event like this wouldn’t leave him without lasting effects. He still has trouble spending more than a day away from Bretzide. Silence makes him uneasy and he also doesn’t like people covering his eyes from behind.

Going Forward
He doesn’t really work any more and just spend his time doing whatever at the moment. He does lend a hand when needed but Mr.Bretzide made it sure he gets all the freedom he needs until his son feels ready.

BRETZIDE
Mr.Bretzide
Henry Bretzide is the founder of the Bretzide school. He himself is a mutant and his power is slow ageing. Physically his body seems to grow at a third the normal rate leading him to look like a 10 year old at age 30, he’s currently 90 and looks 30. This power didn’t affect his brain development but it very much after how lovelife. For obvious reasons he decided to never date, even now that he looks mature and dashing. He’s not upset nor lonely and he feel like a proud father of Lemres and his students in general.
He ran into unsavory issues however. For a very long time he was forced to play children roles in movies and commercials, he was pretty much exploited for many years for his juvenile looks up until he was 43. This mistreatment is what inspired him to make a school for mutant that prides itself in treating people with powers as people and not power tools. He was able to reach his goal using the money he earned as an actor.

The BretZide School
Bretzide “school for the peculiars” is a educational organisation that specialise in uplifting, education and helping the development of mutant with their powers. Their main goal is to do so in a non-violent environment that doesn’t promote crime-fighting before adulthood, it it treated like most risky-jobs and only really touched upon in post graduation in a dedicated curriculum. It has a nursery/orphanage and classes from pre-K up to Highschool.
It’s important for the staff to not pressure children into risking their lives fighting crimes regardless of their potential, instead they try their best to guide them toward using their powers in more creative and non-risky and non-exploitative ways such as long as it’s what they want to. They also are very vocal in helping mutants getting fulfilling jobs completely disconnected from their powers. The mutants’s happiness and fulfilment comes first, their powers being used comes second if at all.

Heirman University
The school as a semi-rivalry with the Heirman University. Despite being called a university it does offer teaching from first grade to uni. Unlike Bretzide however they are very much pro-superhero teaching encouraging young mutants to become peacekeepers from as young as 15.
The rivalry is mostly one-sided however as most Bretzide staffs and students don’t really care while Heirman goers see themselves as superior and one of the Uni president got upset that the Bretzide building is in the same district ans the Heirman museum and he’d have liked it better of Heirman U was the ones next to Heirman Museum.
