(Clueless) ace culture is getting talked into having a celebrity "crush" ("hey, you like that character he played in that movie, so you must like the actor too, right? Look, here's a poster, isn't he hot?") so you can avoid having real-life crushes cause you're just so "loyal" and "devoted" to your celebrity "crush".

Clueless cause I didn't figure out I was (aro)ace until many years later. I thought that celebrity "crush" must be real love cause nobody else ever mattered to me

And I remember my favorite bit of Matt Smith improvisation was when he kissed Rory. He just kisses him, and Arthur didn’t know he was going to do it, but Matt Smith’s reasoning was, he knows Rory likes being kissed, because Amy kisses him a lot, so that’s what you do when you’re happy! No idea, he had no idea that Rory wasn’t going to be happy with that.
