Her eyes say it all, Severa thinks to herself, sword in hand. This can’t go on.
It kills her, opening her mouth and speaking venom. Words leaving her mouth that she’s been dreading for days, watching as Cynthia’s face falls so quickly. She doesn’t even have to look far into her to see her heart breaking. And perhaps, someone deep down with her ‘ice’ heart, her’s is breaking too.
Her last request she has to honor, a simple kiss.
And their lips are meeting one last time, bittersweet to the very end. She hates that she loves the way Cynthia takes her gloved hand in her own, intertwining their fingers as if this wasn’t a last. How she makes it last, refusing to accept what’s in front of her.
She can’t even dare to look in those brown eyes as their kiss breaks, but she holds onto her hand for a few more moments.
