12:Tell one book story or memory (what you were wearing when you were reading something, someone saw you cry in public, you threw a book across the room and broke a window, etc.)
I was allowed to stay up for the midnight release of OotP. First they tried to make me go to bed at like 8 and said they’d wake me up in time but GUESS WHAT, I WASN’T ABLE TO SLEEP so I just sat up and read my book until my dad took me to the English bookshop (we were living in Switzerland). There was like storytelling and sweets and games, but we basically arrived at 11.30ish and then we got the book at midnight from this giant stack of books that had been set up inside a GIANT CAGE it was so dramatic. And then dad sat me on his shoulders while we queued to pay, and I started reading with this BOOK THE SIZE OF A SMALL CHILD balanced on top of my dad’s head, and you could see us for about 3 seconds on the feature that ran on the news the next day. It was so exciting.
13:What character would be your best friend in real life?
My housemate from university is very small and smart and artistic and badass in a quiet way and she likes coffee and drawing and pasta. And for some reason I just feel like she’s the Remus Lupin friend????? Right down to the long-suffering “fine I will do the thing” attitude to whatever dumb thing I’ve decided we’re doing that day.
20:A character you like but you really, really shouldn't.
I don’t think I have one of these???? Maybe Spike from Buffy. But my liking of Spike has always come with this heavy YES I KNOW HE’S AWFUL AT VARIOUS TIMES caveat so idk
24:First book(s) you remember being obsessed with
I feel like it would be disingenuous to say anything other than Harry Potter, tbh.
35:What do you think of Ebooks
They’re....great??? They let people read more books for less money and with less storage/travel complications??? They’re letting more people self-publish niche or non-commercial types of books??? I LOVE EBOOKS. Although I personally will always read the physical book, but that’s just because I can’t deal with reading on devices. BUT THAT’S JUST ME AND I LOVE AND SUPPORT THE IDEA OF EBOOKS.
