@clumsycuphead sent in a YELLOW starter for a scary prompt

There he is.
There he is.
It took a few times doubling back and pretending he’d forgotten something, but now there was no doubt in his mind.
That spiky, obnoxiously vertical hair. The tired, roving eyes. The nervous slump to his shoulders. The twitchy ghost of a smile at no obvious stimulus. The lamplight of a twilit London didn’t make anything easier, but he had enough for a positive ID.
Oh, well. At least a fog was rolling in.

A snow-white kitten hovered near the mouth of the alley, trying and failing to seek shelter from the threatened rain. It mewled sadly, ears pinned back and eyes skyward, before it noticed the boy wandering by. Instantly, the small creature was on its feet. Then just as quickly, it was on its side, one of its back legs betraying the small kitten’s weight.
The kitten’s eyes looked plaintively upward and locked on the boy’s. It feebly limped down the alleyway, its short tail tucked as much as it could be between its legs.
