Clyde Carson – Fast Lane
Clyde Carson is slept on, probably having some mild success in the Bay. His rap was always about easy money, party life and women (all admirable topics but one can take party rap only to a certain amount). This new EP has an edge to it, where Carson sounds angrier than usual. Suddenly, it is not all fun and games. On a few tracks he rap about losses and it feels. (Even Philthy Rich delivers one of his best verses.)
I’m still puzzled why Carson is not more popular than those talentless party rappers on major labels but we long ago figured that people at majors have no taste.
