@cmdrlexas i was going to send you an ask but then things got wordy, so here’s my reaction to the most recent chapter of fearless (chp 6)

So I was gonna liveblog my reading of your newest chapter of fearless because I know you like to know people's opinions like that, but I honestly couldn't. Because liveblogging would mean that I would have to stop reading for a few seconds and I was too immersed in your words to do that. I love Clarke and Lexa's dynamic in this, and though I'm sad to know they'll split I have complete faith that you will make them as happy as they can be. I really appreciate your dedication to making characters happy, healthy, and realistic over traditional happy endings (where the couple always stay together and the problems always just go away). This is saying a lot because my personal motto when it comes to fiction is “the world sucks already, why not read some escapist fiction where things can end completely happy and just the way I’d like it to”. Now I love your stories, but your definition of happy can differ from mine a bit. But the way you word things, the insights into the characters and their actions, and the easy flow of the story make it all work. I stop caring so much that things won’t end the way I want to define happiness because I just want to hear the story you’re telling me. I can only hope that my own writing could maybe be considered comparable to yours

TL;DR I love your work, and this chapter was great and if you ever wrote a novel I’d buy ten copies, even if it was just about making chicken nuggets

i read sparks fly up in preparation for california au pt 2 and after reading them back to back i just have to say, what a fucking angst fest. i’m emotionally drained. once again, job fabulously executed lyndsay. and by that i mean i’m dead, you killed me with your beautiful words and angst ridden prose.
