Notes: The outcome of Solus' trial was not something both he and Mogul expected [Completed]
Mogul was pacing around in the lobby of Homeland, waiting to hear anything about Solus' trial. She couldn't understand why they wouldn't let her inside for the trial. This was torture and she was about to lose it, when the doors flew open and Solus walked out, "Baby!" She ran to him and jumped in his arms and peppered him with kisses. "Oh my Gods baby, I missed you so much. So what happened, please tell me that you're free and we can go home now and I can show you how much I missed you."
Solus was beyond exhausted. It had been a grueling week filled with questions and mind reading from the Guardians. When they came up with a decision to their punishment, he was more then ready to throw in the towel and be done with all of this. He couldn't be happier seeing Mogul on the other end of the door. She was back in his arms and kissing him in the matter of seconds and for a moment, all he did was savor having her back in his arms. "I've missed you too, Mogul, I've missed you so much." She wanted to know the outcome of the trial, so he let her down and looked her in the eyes, "They found the person who hypnotized me into killing Adora and punished him, but it's not all good news for me. They want to send me back to earth, Mogul. I get to go home now."
Mogul wanted nothing more than to find out what the outcome of the trial was, and for a moment all she heard was that they found the person responsible for hypnotizing him. "Oh Solus, that's amazing! So you can come home right?" She froze hearing the other half of his news, "Wait...they want to send you back to Earth? Why....I mean how? I thought that wasn't possible. If they know you didn't kill Adora willingly, then why do you have to sent away?"
Solus nodded and smiled, "Yes, they want to send me back to Earth. Apparently, they know of a portal and can send people back to their own planets." He shrugged, not really knowing how to answer her question at first and then he said, "They said that I'm easily corrupted and they didn't want to take a chance on keeping me here just in case I killed one of them. So it looks like I'm going to be going home." He looked down sadly, knowing that he was going to be parted from her was killing him.
Mogul was speechless, how could they just send Solus away without giving him a chance to prove himself. He was a good man, and would never purposely hurt anyone. But more importantly, how were they going to send him away from her? She didn't want to freak out again like last time, but she could feel the panic rising up inside her. She took a deep breath, "So, when are they talking about sending you back, and how much time do I have to get ready to leave?" She looked at him awaiting him to answer her question, she put her hand on her hip, "I know you don't think I am going to stay here without you? If I have to I will march right in there and tell those guardians myself that I am going with you, no if, and's, or but's about it."
Solus remained silent. He couldn't tell her that he was the only one leaving. He didn't want to see her heartbreaking tears but she read right through him and called him out straight away. "They want me to leave right away." He looked down sadly, "I'll be gone by to tomorrow night." He shook his head and sighed, "They didn't say that you could go with me, Mogul, and I don't think that we would have any choice in this matter."
Mogul was not going to stand for this, there was no way she was going to stay on Caligo or Ignis without Solus. "This cannot be happening, I am supposed to stay here while they send you home....NO! Earth is my home too and I want to go back, and you are the love of my life and if they are going to send you back, I am going with you." She moved away from Solus and started heading to the door, "I am going in there right now and demand I get to go with you."
Lucian was sitting in the main hall after the trial and he could hear the conversation between Solus and Mogul. He did feel bad the two of them. They were obviously in love, but they were being kept apart for something that wasn't either of their fault. He thought about if someone tried to keep him from Rein, he would be miserable. He told the guards to bring them both back inside. He watched as they made their way towards him. "Listen you two, I know this has been a very stressful time for you, and the decision to send Solus back to Earth is difficult to hear, but we think it's for the best. I also know that you two are in love, and I don't want to keep you two apart any longer, so if you want to go back to Earth with Solus, Mogul, we will allow it."
Solus knew that Mogul wasn't going to be too happy with his news, but there was also nothing he could do about it. Unless the Guardians tell them that Mogul go with him, there was nothing he could do. "Baby calm down please..." She wasn't calm and wasn't listening to his advice either. The next thing he knew, they were back inside the trial room, standing before Lucian. Before he could so much as make a sound, Lucian was speaking, telling them that they could go home together. Happy with the outcome, he grabbed his girlfriend and hugged her tightly before picking her up and spinning them both around. "We're going home!" He announced excitedly before claiming her lips in a passionate kiss. "I love you so much, baby..."
Mogul listened to Lucian telling them that they could go home together, she was so excited, just a minute ago she thought that all was lost and now she was being told that they get to be together back at home with her family, she was elated. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he spun her around, "This is so amazing Solus! We get to go home, and still be together." She returned his kiss with so much passion. After they broke apart she smiled, "Baby, us being apart only made me see that I need you in my life always, so I'm letting you know this now, once we get back home, don't you think about trying to look up some ex girlfriend you left back there," She laughed, "you are so stuck with me now. My family is going to love you." She kissed him again. She turned to Lucian, "Thank you so much for allowing me to go home with Solus, I would be so lost without him."
Solus laughed, for the first time in what felt like months, he was laughing out of sheer happiness. "You don't have to worry about my ex-girlfriends, I'm not interested in any of them. You are all the woman that I want." He looked at her as if unsure, "I hope you're right and they do love me. I'm not very good at making first impressions." She smiled up at Lucian, "Yes, thank you for letting us go home and thank you for giving me a fair judgement." He looked back at Mogul, "Let's go back to our homes, I have a few things I need to do before we leave." He kissed her one more time, laced their fingers together and walked out of Homeland a free man.
