Hey Music Therapy followers and friends, if you haven't already you should consider registering for the Online Conference for Music Therapy. It is a 24 hour conference done completely online. That's right, no travel required, you can watch from the comfort of your couch wearing your pajamas if you want to. You can choose to attend all sessions in real time, or if you are someone who enjoys getting some sleep in a 24 hour period then you have the option to watch the sessions later with access for at least 2 weeks after the completion. In addition for those of you working on CMTE credits for recertification you get 12 credits and it only costs you $100. (seriously, that's less than $10 a credit; that's pretty good. Credits are expensive.) I participated in the 2012 online conference (they didn't have one in 2013). It was an amazing experience and I gained so many wonderful connections. I am now connected to MTs in Thailand, Australia, India, and all over the United States. It's a wonderful way to network, get credits, and hear/see presentations from some great MTs all over the world. You can ask questions during the presentations if watching in real time, and they cover a variety of topics. Check out the website. Be aware of the time difference when deciding if you'll attend in real time. The website says it starts at midnight on Feb 8th, but if you live in the US in MN like I do then it really starts at 6pm on the 7th. Know your time zone!
