Allison Chinchar is a CNN meteorologist who appears regularly on CNN's 'New Day Weekend' as well as CNN International programs. In addition, she is a columnist for 'The Danbille Register & Bee'.
She is a member of the American Meteorological Society, the National Weather Association, and the International Association of Broadcast Meteorology.
She has previously worked at WXIA-TV in Atlanta, WKRN in Nashville, Tennessee and WTVC in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Her weather coverage includes the super tornado outbreak on April 26-27, 2011, the ice/snow storm of January 2011 which effectively shut down the city of Atlanta and the northern half of the state, and she also covered Hurricane Isaac live from New Orleans in August 2012.
