What CNN did to Bernie Sanders in the Iowa Presidential Democratic debate—stabbing him with the gender card on behalf of a weakened Elizabet
“Political revolution vs Improving the System”. I think this headline is a very good example of media manipulation. CNN could have chosen to go with a more neutral phrasing, such as “revolution vs reformism”. This still wouldn’t have been completely neutral since the word revolution can still have some negative connotations for your average Joe (such as violence, or the mere fear of drastic change), and calling Bernie’s policies “revolutionary” is still sort of a stretch. Joe Biden has stated before that “nothing would funamentally change” if he was elected, so claiming he would “improve the system” is also a big stretch. But the very word improvement frames his policies as fundamentally positive, as well as sensible, safe. Media is not neutral.
CNN 10 cut out the part where Nancy Pelosi ripped up Trump’s speech because puntime Karl cannot handle her raw Big Dick Energy.
The network's insertion of its own point of view in this week's presidential debate doesn't reflect a mere personal dislike of Sanders—but rather a consistent ideological orientation.
