Part 1

It had been a whole week since your boyfriend decided to reveal that he had been cheating on you for a while. A week of self pity, 3 tubs of ice cream and an embarrassingly large number of tears later, your girlfriends decided that it was time for drastic measures.

"We're going to Coachella. I'm not taking no for an answer" your best friend said with a stubborn smile. "You've earned it y/n. After months of working hard, you deserve this, nothing says I've moved on better than pictures of you looking flawless, dancing in the desert."

You weren't usually a party person, but something inside you jumped at the idea of leaving the pain of the past week behind.

"Let's do it! " you smiled.

Watching them getting excited and giggling over the idea of the next weekend, you just hoped you were making the right decision. The pain in your heart would take a while to heal, you just hoped this trip would be the catharsis you needed.

Your friends let out a cheer of excitement and quickly began planning their outfits, booking a fancy villa and sorting out the details.
