FAQ Time!
Alrighty, I'm gonna get round to answering some questions I get quite a lot (or at least a variation of) in my asks rather than reply to each individually! Thanks for your asks btw!
I will divide these up into two sections. Questions about Alice. And questions about other stuff, as I get a lot of asks about Alice, ha ha. Makes sense, she is a mysterious awesome figure.
Disclaimer: I will not give any spoilers away nor will I go off on any tangents that supersede the vision of the creators. So without further ado, let's gooooooo!

ALICE STUFF:
Q: How did you feel when you got cast?
A: Oof! Elated. Elated and pumped is the word. I sent my audition with a smidge of hope as RQ had reached out to my agent and asked me to audition. Normally, that improves your chance of being cast, as makes sense. Still, though, I kinda sent the audition thinking I maybe had like a 5% chance... but a week later. BOOM. April graced my inbox with an offer and I woke up to a missed call off my agent. Naturally, the heart was pumping at that point. And then, like a week later, I was in a recording session! Best. Job. Ever.
Q: What do you think Alice looks like?
A: So this is a question I get a LOT and it's one I'm hesitant to answer. I don't want to influence anybody's vision of her. That's the beauty of many audio characters. The listener can let their imagination go wild with what they look like. I've seen so much amazing fan art. In quite a few of them I think I, personally, have been a great influence. Meaning she looks kinda like me. And that's cool! But I've also seen her depicted as black, Asian, hispanic, a wheelchair user, tall, short, fat, thin, pierced, bespectacled, bald, an amputee. Everything. And that's beautiful. I love searching her on here because I always see something new.
Q: Are you aware of "Dyhard" and what are your thoughts on it?
A: Yes, I am very aware of "Dyhard" ha ha. Great ship name by the way. When it comes to what I think of it? I can't really comment. I have no idea, other than what is released, canonically where Gwen and Alice's dynamic will go. That being said, I know a lot of ships don't really rely on canon. I myself have shipped characters in my favourite media in my head. But, when it comes to "Dyhard" I'll just say "have your fun everyone. Don't worry about what I think. What I think isn't important. :)"
Q: Bonzo?
A: Bonzo bonzo...
Q: How do you think Alice chose her name?
A: I actually haven't thought about that, but on a side note, how freaking good are Jonny and Alex at writing trans characters? Like they're nailing it. The amount of trans girls I know called Alice. RQ are nailing it.
Q: Do you have a favourite line/episode from TMAGP?
A: "Don't go..."
Q: What is it like working with Jonny and Alex?
A: Working with Jonny is great but Alex sucks major ass. JOKING JOKING. To answer your question properly, it has been one of the best experiences of my life and long may it continue. I look up to both of them so much but they're also extremely down to earth, just great guys to hang with. Jonny's mind is brilliant and Alex is one of the best director's I've ever worked with.
Q: Other than TMAGP, what's your favourite project you've been in?
A: Partial Veil. It's a folk horror audio drama set in North Dakota and two seasons are available now on Spotify etc. I play Rose Ellis, who was a minor character in Season 1 and a supporting character in Season 2. There's actually a fund going on right now at bit . ly / partialveil and there's a twist. You can directly affect who dies in Season 3... so uh... help? Ha ha. Please. I love working on this show. The team are so amazing and Allison the director and creator and all round legend is a joy to work with. ALSO you get to hear me do an American accent. Yeehaw! Ok, I'll stop...

OTHER QUESTIONS:
Q: I wanna keep up to date with all you're doing in your career. Is there anywhere I can keep track?
A: Yessss! I have a website. Just put billiehindle . com and you'll find it. There's a latest news section and a credits section to keep up to date. Also my YouTube is a good place for this. Just search my name on YT and you'll find it. I have a sort of series called "I'm in A Thing!" where I tell people about different project I'm in.
Q: Do you ever think about how inspiring you are to trans people?
A: Every day, every waking moment. My goal in life is to be a positive role model for trans people, especially as we navigate through this increasingly hostile time we live in. If I can inspire even one trans person to hold on, to stay with us and to pursue their dreams... I have achieved what I was put on this planet to do.
Q: I want to get into voice acting. How do I do this?
A: Genuinely, start out with fan stuff. I started out as a VA in the Eddsworld fan community. No lie, my sort of breakout role before TMAGP was voicing Tom in an Eddsworld FNF mod. That got me a bit of a following on Tiktok and YT which actually got me seen by RQ and invited to audition. I am by no means the "model voice actor" (whatever that looks like) but you don't have to be. A decent microphone is a must though. An audiotechnica AT2020 is what I use and it didn't break the bank. You can make your own voice reel simply by writing scenes, maybe getting some friends to voice them with you and just slap them together in audacity. Put yourself out there, don't look down on free and low paid work when you're starting out. Build up that portfolio and you'll find it gets easier and easier with time. Look on websites like CastingCallClub, Mandy, and discord servers like Voice Acting Club. If you're UK based it helps to get an agent and be on Spotlight, but you can still do a lot without it. And, most importantly, have fun. For real. That is so important.
Q: Who are your favourite band?
A: CHVRCHES.
Q: How did you pick your name?
A: So I've always been massively indecisive. I actually went by the name Amelia from 2019-2021 before swapping to Billie in early 2021. I picked "Billie" for a number of reasons. Firstly, I wanted something more "hip and modern" if that makes sense. I know any name can be hip but that was my thinking at the time. I was also in my Billie Eilish phase so uh... yeah I was young and impressionable. I also identified as non-binary from 2021 to 2023 and wanted something seen more as gender neutral. Then when I went back to womanhood I kept it. All throughout this I've had the middle name "Lauren" though as I have associated that name with various badass women I have known. Sometimes I sit back and think I should have put Lauren as my forename but I'm so indecisive I'd probably be sitting here thinking "why didn't I go with Billie?" if I'd done that. So, sod it, I'm sticking with it. Plus now I've started making a name for myself it's not wise to change it again... and changing paperwork is a ball-ache. Sorry, I've gone off on one here. I do like my name. I do. RIP to my necronym.
That's all folks! Thank you and if you want to send a question please check out the rules on my pinned! PEACE!
