Quoted From The Medical Marijuana Business Daily:
Greta Carter, executive director of the Coalition for Cannabis Standards and Ethics (CCSE), has agreed to speak at the National Marijuana Business Conference in Denver this November.
She brings a wealth of business knowledge and advice about best practices to the conference, having participated in various levels of the MMJ industry in Washington State and nationally.
Working with city leaders, Carter played a lead role in creating Seattle’s first medical marijuana ordinance allowing dispensaries to serve patients.
In her role at CCSE, Carter has been instrumental in helping the organization develop standards and ethics for MMJ businesses in Washington. She also runs The CARE Wellness Center – which provides a variety of services to dispensaries and marijuana patients – and previously operated a cannabis dispensary in Spokane until a raid forced its closure.
On the national level, she is director and chair of the 280E Tax Reform Committee, which is working to change IRS regulations covering medical marijuana businesses.
