We had a fine day coasteering today with a great bunch of stags and some Adventure Activity South Wales members. I am one of the very few elite coasteering providers that have staff that are both Beach Lifeguard and Mountain Leader trained and assessed. This is the best practice for working in the intertidal zone where cliff meets ocean.
Wales Outdoors coasteering provision leads the field in safety, thinking through all aspects of risk assessment and session planning.
Please, if you're thinking of booking coasteering with another provider, please ask them what footwear they provide, what rescue kit they take with them (do they have a rescue tube/board?) AND what qualifications their staff have...
You'll be surprised and might want to think again about confirming...
