The Jeans You Need Now

Happy Weekend! I keep thinking it’s Sunday because we were out of town on Thursday night and it feels like the weekend started yesterday. Baldy and I drove to Greenville, South Carolina to have dinner with some friends and drove back the next day. I really hated to leave because Greenville is such a great town and I wanted to see more, but hopefully we’ll get back soon.

I packed this outfit, but didn’t end up wearing it because it was so hot. It does look like the fall weather is rolling in on Sunday and I’m definitely looking forward to it so I can wear this outfit. On a really cool day, I’ll throw on a denim jacket or a heavier black sweater.

This outfit was included in my New Purchases post last week, but I thought I’d share better pictures. These great coated jeans from Frame Denim have become my favorites…the color is perfect for fall and I love the way they fit. They’re not too high waisted which you guys know I like. My sweater is also from Frame and purchased last year. I’ve linked a sweater that is almost identical also by Frame. I’ve talked so much about Marc Fisher booties and this is my latest pair. The color goes with absolutely everything and they’re now 25% off with code 25Friends.

I can also see these pants styled with sneakers and a graphic tee or a cream sweater and a brown faux fur. The options are endless!

I bought this little Gucci camera bag back in the spring and it was a great purchase. It’s just the right size for my wallet, phone, sunglasses and lipstick. I’m don’t wear scarves often, but when I do, I like to tie them on my bag for a pop of color. This one is similar but not so colorful!

I have a long history of buying clothes because "one day" I'll fit into them. Weight fluctuations over the years mean I've got a heap of clothes in different sizes, all kindly taking up space in my wardrobe. This Country Road coated denim skirt didn't fit me when I bought it but it does now (yay). And it's surprising versatile - it's not as short on as it appears and it works with tights and a striped top during the week or bare legs and a casual grey sweat on weekends. Probably the biggest win though is that it looks like leather but isn't, and therefore is a million times easier to clean. Worn this time with a sleeveless ruffled blue cotton shirt and black ballet flats.
