Kilenso, My Favorite Coffee From Coava Is Back

I like tasting through Coava’s coffee lineup, yet my favorite remains Kilenso from Ethiopia. I haven’t seen it available over the last months. Thankfully, it’s back.

What makes Kilenso special for me is its richness, viscosity and deeper berry notes, like when fine chocolate tastes berry-esque. Also I don’t have a great espresso machine, rather I use a Fellow attachment for an Aeropress. Kilenso’s viscosity makes my slightly ghetto process taste more polished.

I will still always try other coffee beans from Coava. Variety is the spice of life, and I especially like to learn about new coffees.

You can take the family out of Portland, but you can’t take the Portland coffee away from the fam. The 2 kilo bag of Kilenso beans from Ethiopia from Coava Coffee should last us for a little bit.
