Killing innocence.
i think losing the family fortune affected him tremendously with the big changes, being forced to flee the UK, and how it changed him and his future. Drawing his own target because he partly blames himself as a cobblepot “killing his own fortune” although it wasn’t his fault. also he’s in arkham lol. stripped of any power he has in gotham, presenting his vulnerability as a person, this is also why his hair rounds a bit as well near the end.
also him closing his eyes at the end is him accepting this as his fate and his life. can you tell i’m normal?
