Orange, blue, brown?
orange: who is your greatest literary inspiration, and why?
I have the habit of writing in the style of whomever I happen to be reading a lot of at the time. I'm fairly good at mimicking author's styles and sometimes that bleeds into my writing. However, I would say that over all Albert Camus would be my greatest inspiration. It was because of him that I wanted to be a writer in the first place (though I don't anymore).
blue: what is your favorite genre/subject on which to write?
A lot of my original work could probably be categorized as existentialist/absurdist (that's Camus coming through). I tend to write about quite strange things...murder, dystopian futures, mysteries &c. I was not very good at writing something happy or comedic.
brown: three favorite novels
The Stranger-Albert Camus
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas-Hunter S. Thompson
Crime and Punishment-Fyodor Dostoevsky
