Do you have a favorite fictional vampire? Because I do. How I found him? Simple.
After watching zombie movies with my mum (cause she loves them, she has watched World War Z like 12 times), i always get zombie dreams. When I'm awake watching the movie I am not particularly interested in it or find it that scary. But apparently my subconscious thinks it's the scariest shit it has ever seen. So I get a lot of zombie dreams in general. And they're really scary and I'm always on the run with my family and it's always horrible.
But one night the dream was different. I wasn't myself in this one like I had been in all the other ones, so that was new. But also this guy that I was, was traveling with a bunch of people to find shelter but he had ulterior motives. You see, this guy was a starving vampire who was planning to kill the others.
Very dramatic dream of which I do not remember a lot but when I woke up I needed to know if anyone had ever had that idea before. Vampire in a zombie apocalypse. And yes. Someone did. The book is called Double Dead and it has my favorite vampire of all time. Half serial killer, half demon from hell but with a cool leather jacket and in Combat boots. Coburn.
Anyways, he's my favorite vampire of all time and sadly lacks fanart. So if you're interested in the premise of an asshole vampire in the apocalypse who has to begrudgingly make a deal with a bunch of humans for mutual survival, then get yourself a copy. It's my guilty pleasure read.
