Koby loves how independent and strong she is, she kicks ass and still looks good; a total badass and she had him whipped at the first sight. He knows that even though she acts hard and cold on the outside, she’s sweet and caring deep on the inside and he wants to be the first one to see it. He’d fluster up everytime he had to talk to her of they had to work together alone.

Once Garp finds out, he’s actually very supportive. He knows that Koby would be good for her and treat he well and probably even he’ll her in training and becoming a higher rank in the marines. Garp does tease Koby about it, especially if she doesn’t know of his crush on her; he’ll say indirect things about the crush that is extremely obvious to everyone but her but he wouldn’t push Koby to confess.

When Luffy finds out, he thinks it’s cool that Koby likes his cousin but that’s about it. He doesn’t really care enough to make a scene about it. He might try to bring the two of them to play with him and will accidentally blurt out the secret infront of her then leave to go have Sanji make him some meat like nothing happened.

Her family approves, Koby just has to work up the confidence to confess to her without turning completely red and rushing off immediately after. When that’s finally about to happen, she cuts him off with a kiss and that’s all that needs to be said.

. Coby is a big romantic at heart and he remembers every little thing his S/O mentions to him, even little stuff just said in passing.

. He gets really excited when he gets a gift for his partner that he knows they are going to love and he really struggles to save the present for a special occasion.

. Usually he will end up giving his S/O their gift well before the event (birthday, anniversary, etc) because he just can't wait to see the look on their face.

. Even if he has been in the relationship for a while he will still blush whenever giving his partner their present, feeling suddenly shy despite his earlier excitement.

Blood: How did they react the first time their S/O got badly injured??

. If his partner is injured while he is present, Coby thinks first of getting them to safety than he does of getting them revenge.

. It's more important to him that he gets help then going after whoever actually injured his S/O.

. If he isn't there when they are injured Coby will drop everything the second he hears about it and will rush to their side.

. Coby is a nervous wreck. He spends a lot of time pacing and running his hands through his hair, trying to ignore that little voice in the back of his head saying “what if they don't make it?”

. Practically cries when the doctors tell him his S/O is badly hurt but is stable.

. He spends every available moment he can by their bedside. Coby will talk to them, read to them, hold their hand and just generally try and make sure they are as comfortable as possible.

Gold: What was their first kiss with their S/O like?

. The first kiss between Coby and his S/O was a little awkward but still cute.

. He was very nervous. Blushing, sweating, butterflies, the whole lot – Coby had planned everything out in his head and had convinced himself he could pull it off without embarrassing himself.

. Unfortunately at the end of the date he ended up tripping over his words and blushed so hard that he froze up.

. Luckily for him, Cobys partner was not quite so nervous and instigated the kiss.

. They still joke with him that they could feel the heat radiating off his face during the kiss. This still embarrasses him.

Coby Cooking Headcanons

This boy used to be terrible at cooking

But then he was forced into Alvida’s crew and was sorta forced to learn to cook

It was stressful as heck and he hated it

And after he got saved by Luffy and joined the marines he stopped cooking for quite a while

And decided to pick it up one day randomly when he and Helmeppo were hungry and the cooks weren’t around

It was pretty bad since he hadn’t cooked anything in a long time

He began to try again and found it a lot of fun now that there wasn’t anyone pressuring him or anything

Actually pretty decent now and cooks daily

Tried to make Helmeppo learn to cook as well

Has like a small bookshelf of cook books which he reads on a dialy

Yo, first thing’s first… cold you imagine whathe was like when he first realized he had evolved into the beautiful butterflyhe is now?? He probably flipped.

Some of you might be saying “Now, now… You’ can’tjust wake up one day and suddenly go from short nerd to taller and noticeablydifferent nerd! He would’ve noticed!”

Well, 1. It’s One Piece; people can eat a fruitand get magical powers and 2. That’s not my point!!

Coby was most likely totally invested in his dream that I doubt he had the time nor wantto look in a mirror for such a long time. He’s busy working and he’s GONNAfulfill his dream. Then comes one day where he has some time to reflect andrealize that he’s making his way up and he probably goes to look at himself ina lil ‘talk-to-self’ confidence session and he steps in front of thefull-length mirror and he’s just like “………. w HO IS THIS??!”

Also, there’s no doubt that he’s grown a lot ofconfidence since when we first saw him, and while he’s still that same ol’ Coby,there’s something within me that’s saying he actually gets the teensiest bit cockyfrom time to time. Not in an arrogant way, but if what he’s doing is somethinghis past self totally wouldn’t do, hegets very prideful. He’s very aware of how much he’s grown, even though who heis fundamentally never changed.

This guy is so empathetic and compassionate, nomatter what. If you want to be his friend or his s/o, once you become close tohim he will not only will he do his BEST in that relationship, but he will alsoadmire the heck outta you. And it isn’t even that hard to be his friend!! Whata steal!

There’s always something that he looks up to insomeone he’s close with, be it whatever talent or personality trait of yours.Drawing, writing, singing, dancing, fighting, whatever. You’re smart, brave, loud, perceptive, or even sensitivelike him? Those ALL have some aspect to be admired about, and you can betcha henotices that.

If he gets called out on this, he gets allnervous: DO IT if you wanna see him blush and be awkward.

And the last one to end with: Coby isn’t acomplete idiot and can recognize feelings on someone else really well. It’sbeen proven that he’s more of a character that thinks about others beforehimself and I think that when it comes to crushes and the like, he’d be morelikely to notice first that you like him rather than him realizing his ownfeelings. If you’re smart, you can really pull this in your favor and make himfall for you hard. Just at one point, give him a really sweet, meaningful smilewith a blush of your own on your face while saying something nice and he’lljust:

I can ask Cobys hc of meeting (and falling in love with) a nice girl (while he still served Alvida) on a small island and making a promise with her of him becoming an admiral and she on a famous explorer because he thought he would never see her again. And when he meets Luffy again in Water 7, does he realize that she is in Luffy's crew? Pinky boy needs more love, btw i love your hc so much ❤❤❤

Aah… Coby… When I first start the manga, I was like “He won’t ever have a girlfriend…” and now I’m on my knees, melting for his precious face!- The first time he saw her on this little island while he was buying things for Alvida, it was love at first sight- She was very cute with her little ponytails and all and Coby couldn’t believe his eyes, someone that cute was existing in this world ?- She noticed that he was staring at her and she smiled at him, making him blush- He met her a few times while being on the island and after starting talking to her, he discovered that she was not only cute but also smart and kind- She wanted to help him with Alvida but Coby told her that it was too dangerous, he didn’t want her to be hurt- After he made the promise to her, he left and he didn’t meet her before Water Seven- When he sees that she is in Luffy’s crew, he is firstly reassured because he knows she is in good hands- But at the same time, he is very sad and worried, he loves her but he is now a Marine and she is a Pirate- But she seems not to mind that and she comes toward him to hug him and talk with him- Coby is very happy and he feels the butterflies in his belly starting to fly around, he is blushing like crazy- “Coby!! It’s been so long!! I’m so happy to see you!! You’ve changed!!” “Nice to...se you too... You are... Well...”- He doesn’t know what to do or say because she is cuter and even more beautiful than before- She smiles but suddenly, arms tighten around her and Luffy’s head appears on her side- “Coby!! I won’t let you steal her from us!! She is our Nakama!!” “Ahah... I know, Luffy-san... I didn’t want to steal her away, don’t worry.”- He smiles and he promises her that they would meet again someday, then he whispers something to her- “Next time, I will kidnap you, okay ?” and it was her turn to blush

Head canons for Coby and Helmeppo if they find out their s/o were being framed for something they didn't do and were about to be executed plz?

Ah geez, this was hard to answer! D:Hopefully I did at least a decent job!

S/O is innocent, but wrongly framed/accused and sentenced to be executed:

Coby and Helmeppo:

Both would initially freak the hell out, inwardly and outwardly.

Run around and collect a shit ton of evidence to prove their s/o’s innocence.

Look into who may have initially started/accused them. They might have been the ones to commit the heinous crime(s).

Recruit Garp to help. You can’t tell me they wouldn’t.

Probably raise hell/cause a huge scandal/investigation. Which the navy wouldn’t like.

If that doesn’t save their s/o, then they’re left with only one choice.

GET THEIR S/O OUT AND TO SAFETY!!!!

They may try to be as secretive as possible, but they’re willing to pretty much risk about anything for their s/o. Especially since they were treated so cruelly/poorly/unfairly.

Hey, can you do some sleeping HC for Sabo and Coby, with and without a S/O?

Sure! Though there wouldn’t really be much difference really with these two. :D

Sleeping Headcanons:

Sabo:

Without S/O:

Limbs everywhere.

Covers/blankets tend to end up falling off and/or end up on the floor at some point.

Sleeps in whatever he’s wearing, but he does take his hat and goggles off at least. Half of the time he forgets about his shoes.

Usually sleeps on his stomach or back.

Snores. Loudly when he’s very comfortable/feels safe. If he doesn’t he may not sleep at all, but if he does, he’s a very light, and pretty silent, sleeper.

Is either a light sleeper, or dead to the world. No in-between.

Falls asleep rather quickly, too. As in, within 5 minutes.

With S/O:

Pretty much the same.

Except they get buried/covered by his limbs.

Or just him in general.

Likes sleeping on top of his s/o in some way.

Usually ends up with his head on their chest or stomach.

If they’re sleeping on their side, he ends up laying on top of them. Which could end up with him getting kicked to the floor/off the bed. xD

Can also be a pretty big cuddler/snuggler in his sleep. And he does so in the weirdest ways.

Coby:Without S/O:

Either sleeps on his side, all curled up, or on his back with limbs splayed all around him.

Restless sleeper unless he’s completely dog-tired and/or sleep deprived. So the covers do tend to get kicked off of him during the night. Or end up on the floor. Same with his pillow.

Has a hard time falling asleep, so he’ll try to take naps during the day when he can.

Surprisingly has mastered the art of sleeping standing up/leaning on a wall.

Doesn’t make a sound when he’s asleep, but will sometimes say a word or two.

If he’s in a deep enough sleep, there’s a good chance you can start, and have, a coherent/complete conversation with him. (Rare, but possible.)

With S/O:

Turns into a complete cuddler, ESPECIALLY when he’s asleep.

Always the big spoon.

Once his arms are around his s/o, they aren’t leaving till he wakes up. LOCKDOWN!

Unconsciously nuzzles into them. No one knows why.

Is incredibly stubborn in the morning when waking up. S/o wants to get out of bed? Nope *proceeds to roll over, bringing his s/o with him*

And yes, he’s completely out/asleep when he does this. 

If he’s tired and is sitting/leaning/cuddling with his s/o, he’ll be out in 30 seconds. TOPS.

Seriously, though, asleep and has his s/o in his arms, they aren’t going ANYWHERE for a while.

Helmeppo has pictures. And he does use them to tease Coby. Sometimes. All the time.

S/O tells them she’s pregnant:

Coby:

A whole multitude of emotions would cross his face. Shock, joy/pride, and a HUGE flustering mess.

He’d get up to hug his s/o.

But he’d be so overcome with all these sudden emotions (more of surprise/shock at finding out his s/o is pregnant) that he’d faint.

Out of all the characters I’ve done for this specific kind of request, he’d be the biggest worrier/freaking out about anything and everything.

He’d baby proof everything that very day if he could.

And he’d faint at least one or two more times.

Much to the amusement of Garp and Helmeppo. Though Helmeppo might get a little worried.

Holding his child for the first time:

Coby:

He’d be in shock/disbelief when he first lays eyes on his baby. “That’s MY child?”

Instantly starts worrying over the child. xD

He wouldn’t know if he should smile like a doofus, or start crying.

He ends up doing both, either separately or at the same time.

Easily happens more than once. (Though he definitely is happy, don’t let his tears/crying fool you.)

He’d have to sit down before he could attempt to hold his kid because he’d be shaking so bad.

And he’d faint before that happens. Again.

So Helmeppo, or even Garp, would be the first ones holding his kid. (Other than the nurses/doctors and the mother, of course.)

As soon as he does finally hold his baby, there’s no way in hell anyone else is going to be able to hold them now. XD

HE WILL NOT RELINQUISH THE BABY!!!

Unless it was the mother. (And yes, he’d probably try/start to barter so he could hold his baby longer.)
