So, for those who don't know (which is probably most of you), I've been in Seattle at Sakura Con for the past few days, which has been super fun. Today was the day my friends and I did our Dragon Age 2 group. We were originally going to have a fem!Hawke, Fenris, Merrill, Aveline (me), Anders, Isabela, and Sebastian, but our Anders, Izzy, and Seb dropped out on us, unfortunately. Still, it was a great time! We found other DA cosplayers, too. There was another fem!Hawke, an Anders, and then a Morrigan. We were going to have a big group photoshoot in the park with all of them, but it never really panned out because we kept going back and forth to the hotel and the food. Still, we got a decent amount of photos. Every time someone stopped us to ask, at least two or three others would pop up who wanted pictures, too! And once I get the photos from my friends I'll post them for anyone who cares to look at them. We had a lot of costume problems though, at least with Hawke, since it was more complicated than anything she'd done before. It took us three and a half or four hours to get it on because we kept having to fix things. That costume was held together with massive amounts of hot glue, duct tape, and prayer. Thankfully it stayed on pretty well for most of the day. Then we went and had dinner with the lovely saroux who has been in town over the weekend, though not for the con, who we met a few weeks ago at Emerald City Comic Con. There was a little awe on our part because she's done such wonderful cosplays, and her Aveline in particular was amazing! It was great to get to know her better, and she even gave us tips for doing our DA outfits next year. Sadly, I'm leaving for school again tomorrow. Though I'm looking forward to having more to do than sit around on the internet, I'll definitely miss home.
