OkAy, just because of talk over on the civ Eras discord, yes I acknowledge that there are only so many ways you can draw people and the limits of historical clothing and costuming mean that there are bound to be some duplicates. But actually, Mulan's art (which has its own problems, considering she's represented as a person claiming womanhood rather than hiding it in this game) is really good at conveying difference. She's a distinct person even though she shares a similar colour palatte to Tomyrus, and is another Asian woman like Cocacin and Xi. And it's all because of her armour and ponytail.
