I know I like to refrain from Delores having some sort of maternal instinct/care from those around her, but Patricia being in her custody has really earned the right to evoking these feelings from Delores. I mean, really, there are certain things that Patricia has helped Delores with - such as cooking, or even talking about a guy she met, that make Delores feel like she’s in the midst of her own daughters yet again. It’s been some time since Delores has had a young girl telling her these things - let alone assisting her with these things, since Cassandra is a little distant and Bianca has been in Italy. Really, it has Delores genuinely feeling like a mother again. 

Didi was initially distant with Tris and Wolfgang. I’m sure I already implied it with Tris (pre-suicide attempt) because they’re SO different, but she really didn’t like the idea of growing attached to another person’s child. Didi even believed Tris would try to make her become Wolfgang’s stand-in mother/24/7 babysitter. She ultimately becomes very close to the two, of course, and the way she treats Wolfgang is actually an indicator of how closer she is with Tris. Like originally, Didi goes from doing kind things for the little boy, but staying a little distant. Eventually, she’s tightly hugging him when she’s home from work and watching cartoons, smiling brightly. Not distant at all. And sure, she treats Tris the same as before - serious, deadpan - but she genuinely cares.

Tris? Makes a joke when Didi confesses that Sal has her unexpectedly pregnant? I can see her saying something like, “well, if you keep it, Wolfgang will have somebody to play with...” 

Delores and Elvira NEVER hide their relationship, ever. They’re always out in public. They’re always at events. From being in their thirties to being in their sixties. But you know what? Despite the fact they’re inseparable, people in public - far outside their social circle - consider them to be good friends. Never mind the fact Delores likely told a reporter in 1995 that Elvira was the love of her life. It doesn’t annoy her though, because the mass public can be a burden.

       THIS -- THIS IS THE PASSION DELORES SHOULD HAVE FELT HOURS AGO with the man Sal would have (allegedly) desired Delores to be with. The charming man Delores agreed to go out with. The handsome devil Delores bought the black dress for. The mafioso who reeked of vodka and had to be removed from her home right before anything happened.       Elvira’s left hand ran teasingly slow over her soft breast while the right torturously worked between her thighs.

      “I want you.” The words that smoothly escaped Elvira’s lips did not seem as though they could have been possible fifteen...thirty minutes ago as the two originally lounged with white wine between them. 

      Together, they reflected on the worst of times - the way Tony would plow away in the endless pursuit of release. Sleeping with him was hell in those final years. The way Sal would sometimes collapse atop Delores’ poor small frame, it was as though - in Delores’ own words, that he found it ‘cute’ or something. They spoke of better times, too. Like when Frank brought another woman to their bedroom or, how it was when Sal developed an oral fixation of sorts. 

     It was the thought of Delores on her back, writhing with pleasure as a tongue explored her that kept Elvira from sipping from her glass. Similarly, it was the vivid image of Elvira in bed - pleasing another, that held Delores’ gaze.

     ‘I could never share.’ Delores had coolly explained. And it was that - alongside her unyielding glance that ignited the touching, the kissing. All of that which would ultimately summon that heated, intoxicating whisper:

       “I want you.” 

     Lovingly, Delores ran her fingers down Elvira’s jawline, never once breaking eye contact. “Then have me.” She had been so composed, so steady until she felt what she had been aching for finally slide inside her warmth. Two fingers, two fingers that brought her lips to part in ecstasy and brought her own digits to CURL  into the pillow.

         THROUGHOUT HER TIME AT THE TABLE, Delores played the role of the good wife. She ate, drank all to the sound of her husband speaking with his newest business associate, a man from Miami named TONY MONTANA. So silent, so scarce, it was surely a surprise when she lashed against the boisterous man immediately after he berated his wife.     It wasn’t a surprise to Salvatore who knew better than anyone that Delores did not like conflict, and more than that, she did not like public ignorance. So of course, seeing Tony verbally degrade the blonde caused her to raise an eyebrow, to lift her eyes. Sal saw Delores in the initial process of giving Tony a verbal lashing long before Tony himself did.      So now she stands in the pristine restroom where Elvira weeps. Unconcerned what the men thought of her, amazingly composed. Looking closely, one would have been able to see that despite her still face her eyes held sympathy for Elvira.       Yes, she didn’t know a damn thing about Elvira, but all the same Delores felt CONNECTED to this woman - shamelessly pouring her heart out to her.      Connected. It was a way she found herself feeling for all wives to KINGPINS and DRUG LORDS. 

     “You are a very lonely woman.” Delores comes to remark. It is not an accusation, it is an observation. “I can’t imagine how you must feel...being with a man who can fill with a room with his presence and still be so alone despite that.”

     “I am so sorry.”

       “I’m so sorry I left you with the girls!” When approached, Delores immediately apologizes - even as Elvira doesn't have a trace of frustration on her face. 

      At this point, she has been in Miami for two months now. It is just she, Cassandra, Bianca, and Elvira. Despite initial hesitation, Delores found herself preferring the atmosphere in no time at all; the perks of anonymity brought on instant bliss. She noticed Cassandra no longer seemed as burdened - and that little Bianca was additionally no longer under the assumption that those who ‘checked’ on her were her father. The four-year-old was much more preoccupied with everything Elvira had to offer her.      “When I left my room, I noticed there was a star in the sky outshining the rest - and once I came outside, I couldn’t move away...”     Delores always enjoyed overlooking the atmosphere - and there was something particularly intriguing at observing the land at night. It took her back to her adolescence when she briefly stayed in Harlem beside the closest person she could call a grandmother. And although the view had nothing on New York’s skyline, Delores still felt contemplative.

    “I think...standing here made me realize how safe I feel with you.” She gradually admits. “There was something about my home - although I grew up there - I just began feeling like I was no longer in a place where I could lay my head. Let alone do something like this.”

     DELORES IS NOT AN ANGRY WOMAN, not at all. But her generally calm demeanor would come to a shock for someone new, who had to look at her in this state. A state where her chest rose and fell, a state where her cheeks were flushed. Her right hand couldn’t remain still. Almost obsessively, her fingertips ran across the smooth porcelain handle of the champagne glass in possession. 

    “I keep thinking-” pause, inhale.

     “I keep thinking of everything we were going to do when he was finally released.”

     In no way does Delores want to ‘flaunt’ her perfect marriage with Salvatore. In every old conversation she shared with Elvira, she overthought implications. Held back. As she knew that what could be said for she and her husband could not be said for Elvira and Tony. But tonight, she had no filter. Thoughtless.

     “One day. We would have went overseas. We never had the sort of honeymoon we wanted - he was suppose to make that up to me - he said he was going to make that up to me.” 

      “We had talks -” another sharp inhale, she shivered. “So many talks of how we’d buy a house. In Long Island.” They would have spacious room, a backyard for gardening - a backyard where children could play. 

     It was the idea of that nonexistent suburban house that got her. That nonexistent suburban house where the nights would be serene, where they would look normal to their neighbors. Thoughts eventually went beyond their would-be happy home. Delores could only think of Cassandra graduating, no father present at her ceremony. Of Bianca in the future - faced with the dilemma of sharing information about her father to a class, embarrassed that she didn’t have one.

     Delores’ anger flared up. Why did she marry him? She asked herself, furious. Why didn’t she change him? Why was she attracted to a good for nothing thug? 

    Lost in her thoughts, she didn’t notice how she rose her hand, tossing her champagne glass at the wall.

Their first impression of your muse To be honest, it wasn’t positive! Delores’ first thought of Elvira was that she was clearly the All-American Trophy Wife that Tony managed to achieve. She’s white, she’s blonde, blue-eyed. But it wasn’t a negative thought, it was just an observation because Delores has encountered a dozen other mistresses, girlfriends, and wives who have the same physical attributes as Elvira. She was beautiful, doubtlessly. Delores noticed those cheekbones immediately. But the other woman looked so, so depressed. And Tony was there beside her, looking like a hot mess........ So although Elvira was beautiful and silent, Delores simultaneously got messy vibes from she and her husband.

Current impression  Delores feels that Elvira is doing SO MUCH BETTER than she was when they first met!! She’s healthier, both mentally and physically. And happier. It’s amazing how much a person - already beautiful - becomes more beautiful when they’re happy and doing well in life.

Are they attracted to your muse? Yes! Delores has always felt a little drawn to Elvira. Even before they were together. There was just something about her energy.

Something they find adorable about your muse Viewing her interact with children - trying to speak with children, like Bianca, on their level. It’s almost as unusual as it is endearing!

Would my muse sacrifice themselves for yours?  Let it be known that Delores will defend Elvira’s honor in any way. So, yeah, she would even instinctively carry the desire to defend her from a bullet. 

Would my muse go on a date with yours?  platonic/romantic Oh, they’ve done both throughout the time they’ve known each other. 😤😤

Would my muse slap yours if they could? At this moment in time, Elvira has literally done nothing that makes Delores frustrated. Now, in the past - back when she was stuck with Tony, and Sal was still alive, Delores may have smacked Elvira for succumbing to toxic habits. Or saying something out of line. Either thing. We’ll see what happens the more we thread.

who said i love you first? Delores. And honestly, it was a really big deal because of how Delores, until this point in her life, grew up assuming she was straight. Her ‘I love you’ came out pretty heavily, as she additionally confessed to Elvira that she’s not happy anywhere, she’s not happy with anyone - platonically or romantically.

who laughs when the other trips? Neither!

who pays the bills? Previously, Tony (and Frank) handled financial things for Elvira and Sal handled financial things with Delores. Now, I feel that both of the women go half and half.

which one makes a bigger deal around the holidays? Delores, kind of. I feel that like Delores, Elvira got whatever she wanted from her husbands over the holidays since she was the trophy wife. But, I also feel that Elvira did the bare minimum for Tony and Frank during the holidays (she didn’t love those bastards). So, together, Delores and Elvira try to make the holidays work in their own particular ways. Neither of them have their respective dead husband’s...eccentricities or enthusiasm or the need to be EXCESSIVE, but they definitely do things. Not the things their husbands would do. But nice, memorable things all the same.

who’s more clumsy? Neither - though if I had to lean towards a person, I’d say Elvira if not sober.

who checks their daily horoscope? I feel like if Elvira’s bored she checks it just to see if she can get a laugh or something. Similarly, I feel like Elvira would teach sweet little Bianca about horoscopes and astrology during these times. 

who leaves the cap off the toothpaste? These are classy women, they would never!!

who is more up to date in pop culture? I get the vibe that Elvira would be. Delores has an awareness of black celebrities and what they’re up to, but my senses tell me Elvira knows about white celebrities.

who insists on going to see the newest movies? Both! If Elvira’s interested, that is. I don’t believe she’s a woman who will just watch anything. 

who cries when the abused animal commercials come on? Delores, all the way.

who’s the lighter sleeper? I feel like both of them sleep pretty lightly. 

who believes in ghosts? I think Delores and Elvira have definitely talked about ghosts and spirits. Delores doesn’t believe in the supernatural, generally, but she dreams about Sal sometimes. She has also wondered if a mansion where so many people died (during Tony’s shootout) causes the building to be...changed. I can’t really determine what Elvira’s stance would be.

who does the grocery shopping? They do it together. 😤
