Indulge in the rich and comforting flavors of chocolate with this delightful Chocolate Bread Pudding. It's the perfect dessert for any chocolate lover, combining the goodness of cocoa, chocolate chips, and creamy custard to create a decadent treat.
Ingredients: 4 cups of stale bread cubes. 2 cups of milk. 1/2 cup of heavy cream. 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. 1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder. 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips. 2 large eggs. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish optional.
Instructions: Grease a baking dish and preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit 175 degrees Celsius. Heat the heavy cream and milk in a saucepan over low heat until they begin to simmer. Take off the heat. Mix the sugar, eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt thoroughly in a different bowl. Pour the hot milk and cream mixture gradually into the cocoa mixture while whisking continuously to prevent the eggs from curdling. Pour the chocolate custard mixture over the bread cubes and chocolate chips that you have placed in the baking dish that has been greased. To make sure the bread cubes absorb the liquid, gently press them down. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the pudding sets and the top begins to crisp slightly, in a preheated oven. Before serving, take it out of the oven and allow it to cool slightly. Add chocolate shavings and whipped cream as garnish, if desired. Enjoy your delicious chocolate bread pudding while it's still warm!
