Today’s rarepair is mellight / chocolatechips!
Cadbury Egg Cookies
Chocolate chips and crushed Cadbury eggs fold into a buttery dough that bakes into cookies with pockets of sweet shell throughout. The eggs add a candy crunch that cuts through the richness of the chocolate in every bite.

No-Bake Perfect Bars
These bars come together in about ten minutes with just peanut butter, oats, and chocolate chips layered together. The texture sits right between chewy and dense, with chocolate bits breaking through each bite.

The Start: Chocolate Chip Cookies
A simple staple...but everything that is simple is not always easy. Let’s be real: there is nothing easy about baking. Hopefully, I can help make it easier. Without further ado- here is a simple recipe for chocolate chip cookies.
Ingredients List:
1 cup softened butter
2 large eggs
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 cups chocolate chips (or as many as you desire, there is literally no limit- the more, the better).
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. (Yes, there is a difference between wax paper and parchment paper).
Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt into one bowl. Set bowl aside.
Cream together butter and sugars. Once combined, beat in eggs and vanilla.
Mix dry ingredients into the butter and sugar mixture.
Add chocolate chips! Be sure to fold the chocolate chips into the mixture, thoroughly. (Otherwise when you get to the bottom of the bowl, there won’t be an even equivalent of dough to chocolate chips. Be tedious, and make sure there’s enough chocolate chips everywhere!)
Roll chocolate chip cookie dough into around 2 inch balls. (Or make them huge, or small. I don’t care, and that’s the fun in baking- you can do whatever you want). Now you have two options :)
Bake chocolate chip cookies in preheated 375 degree F oven, for approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Let the cookies sit on the baking sheet for about two minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
OR freeze your cookie dough. (This produces the most uniform cookies in my case) Store in a bag in the freezer, and whenever you’d like some fresh cookies- simply line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F, and bake the cookies for 12 minutes. Let them sit for two minutes on the sheet before moving to a cooling rack.
Enjoy your cookies! Or give them away, or stuff them into a pretty box. Or fool yourself as you stare at the melty chocolate chip cookies, into thinking you’ve made enough good cookies to think you may have a slight possibility of running a bakery out of your kitchen.
