I was cleaning out all of the substrate from Rey's tank and at the bottom there was an entire tiny-ant colony. They had set up shop in her fucking substrate. Now I feel like I need to only use paper towels so that ants won't want to live with my reptiles.

Coconut fibre also loses nutrients fast and breaks down. It's not a very good soil to use for plants. It's very dusty and holds ALOT of water. I use it for crested geckos.
