A huge thank you to all who have donated so far this year for our giving tree to benefit @cocoonhouse ! Today is a special shout out to the @camanoislandchamber for their generous cash donation! I reached out to @cocoonhouse to see what the best use of the funds would be & so sadly they said there are so many teen boys without winter coats! Can you imagine being a homeless teen without a winter coat! 😞💔 So we matched the @camanoislandchamber funds & we’re able to purchase 12 coats & a few more needed items!🥰 If your out & about this week stop in for a paper ornament with an item to purchase for a teen in need! Due to the high need this year we will be extending our collection date to December 31st! Our 2nd annual Giving Tree is up & ready for donations! Please join in helping support @cocoonhouse to break the cycle of homelessness in our local teen population! Sadly More than 34% of the total homeless population is under the age of 24. Cocoon House is a non-profit that conducts outreach to, and provides short and long term housing for homeless and at-risk young people, including their children. Parents of teens can also find support for themselves and their families at Cocoon House so that young people do not become homeless. 1. Stop by & pick out a paper ornament with an item of need. 2.
