Small COD confession of sorts. When I get super anxious about family dinners around the holidays, I tend to daydream about any of the guys (mainly Simon tbh) shutting down any teasing from my cousins and aunts about how I'm one of the very few adults in the family that's still single and childless. I know they mean nothing by it, but it's exhausting hearing it over and over again. So picturing Simon deflate their teasing or even saying something to flip it back on them so *they're* the one that is embarrassed is kinda satisfying to me

I often think about them doing something like this for me too. It’s a comfort thing maybe idk

this is not really a confession but everytime im writing my 141 fics and I write abt ghost. my device always wants to auto correct it to "The ghost" instead of just leaving it as "Ghost" and I have to take a minute to giggle and ignore it 🧍‍♀️

Sometimes i think that I project myself onto Ghost to deal with my ptsd and I just want the man to be happy because of that

I don't have PTSD but you're not alone when you project onto the characters. I do that often with my issues as well and I feel the sentiment in my chest

COD confession: sometimes when I've had a bad day, I'll play COD and make all my guns pink and actually use a mic just so I can piss off misogynists for fun.

Price is all I think about

Same but I think about them both pretty equally

Ghost holds my heart just as much as Price does (honestly all of the four main boys hold my heart)

Similar two few other anon, I never play the game ( I always been more game spectator to my bro playing growing up, and I am the one sitting on the side flipping thru walk through to help him ) but I have watched playthrough videos.

I stumbled upon this fandom from another author of Mandalorian fic and while flipping through their fic list came across soap x reader and ghost x reader fics thinking who in the *beep* name their character that?? And funny enough König was the one pushed me into the pit.

But anyway to thr anon who never played. A lot of us are in same boat. Dont worry. Ignore those purists let's all simp for these boys together

I didn't even know before these confessions started that people gatekeeped the ones who didn't play the games and watched playthroughs instead. I thought it was a completely normal thing for some people not to play the games. I had tried to COD 4: MW before but wasn't able to continue after the Cliffhanger Mission from the stress and anxiety it was causing me because of the overall intensity of the game. I wouldn't know anything about the fandom or characters if it hadn't been for the playthroughs I watched.

I personally haven’t encountered it here. It was more of a general statement that happens in a lot of fandoms if not most. I think it’s perfectly fine to enjoy media without having to actually play the games.

I just find gatekeepers a little weird
