Blackout and Regret

OctoVigia mini fic

Author note: writing this in the middle of the night gang, it boost my motivation and idea (somehow). No idea if i’m gonna write part 2

Characters include: Bug, Octo, and Vigia. Octo and Bug belongs to me while Vigia belongs to @breadtheend

Warning: violence and angst. And bad grammar i guess

Octo always having a hard time whenever his stress takes over him. He’s gonna goes blackout which then makes his blackout side see everything as a threat. He wishes he can control it. But he can’t

Right now he just back from a mission, a long mission. He so stressed out, his vision already starting to get blurry and he hurriedly goes to his barrack. And he doesn’t know that Vigia is following him

He eventually finally arrive to his barrack and he quickly close his door, breathing heavily before he eventually slipped into his blackout and stand there in the middle of his barrack. Before the door opens and Vigia walks in, closing the door behind him “He’s blackout…” Vigia thought while looking at Octo who slowly turn around and then looked at Vigia, fist clenching tightly. Vigia raises his hands a bit, trying to show himself as not a threat to Octo

But of course, Octo blackout side didn’t take that and went straight to attack Vigia. He managed to grab Vigia throat and Vigia quickly grabbed Octo arm “It’s… me. Octo- listen to me” he tried to call Octo, to take him out of the blackout

Octo does not react to it, and instead, he raises his fist and punches Vigia in the stomach before throwing Vigia to the floor

Vigia coughs before Octo grabs his shoulder, pinning him down to the floor

Vigia looked at Octo before he slowly put his hand on Octo cheeks, gently holding it and his other hand held Octo hands “Everything will be alright… I’m here, it’s me. You safe now” Vigia said, rubbing Octo hands gently

It did nothing.

Octo raises his hands again and Vigia closes his eyes, ready for the impact.

But it never came

He opened his eyes and saw Octo eyes slowly turn back to normal, hand shaking and slowly letting go of his grip on Vigia

“Octo?...” Vigia try to call for Octo again, and Octo looks at him, before getting off of Vigia and looking down at his own hands

“I almost kill you…” Octo mumble, breathing heavily, tears slowly build up on his eyes

“I’m fine, i swear” Vigia tried to reassure Octo and tried to hold his hands, but Octo shook his head and took his hands away from Vigia

Octo hands are shaking, not wanting to look at Vigia

Hejust there, not wanting to look at Vigia, ashamed of himself for not able to control himself or get a better place to be alone and lock himself. Guilty for hurting the person he care and who has been there for him

Before he presses the button on the radio on his vest “Bug, get to my barrack. I need you to get Vigia to the medic.” Octo says before he gets up, Vigia quickly grabs Octo hand, not letting him go

“Don’t go, I swear, it’s all fine” Vigia tried to reassure Octo again but Octo still shook his head before he grabbed Vigia hand that holding his, and then took it off of his hands, his hands were shaking as if he doesn’t want to let go of Vigia hands, but also scared he’s gonna hurt Vigia

So…

He let go of Vigia hands before taking a step back and then quickly walked out the room right as Bug walked there, Bug looked inside the room and immediately went to Vigia and helped him to stand up

“Bug. i need… i need to get to Octo” Vigia said to Bug, but Bug shook his head and pointed at Vigia, gesturing about Vigia being hurt

“I’m fine.”

But Bug still shakes his head and pulls Vigia with him toward the medical bay

Vigia look at where Octo is going, he’s gonna try to talk with Octo later, maybe Octo just needs alone time for a bit. He needs to be there for Octo.
