I've spent weeks working out the map orders for canon timelines. I have two different orders one that separates by each playable aether timeline and one that is putting every map from Nacht to Cold War (currently boycotting 6 and 7) in order using each only once. Essentially consolidating it into one playable timeline so you play every map once in a rough story order from the first map to the most. The first one is only for aether timelines and it takes the timelines repeating and the different timelines we canonically know exist separating them in order of when they would make sense to experience.
There are 7 canon playable timelines that I've worked out. Just need to fact check my bits before I say with confidence that it's covering everything and they're all properly placed. (I mostly need to reread the comics and make sure I have placed the issues well and that the essential easter eggs to move to the next map are all listed.) It essentially runs as a gauntlet challenge where each death resets the timeline you're on. You would also have to complete the easter egg(s) on each applicable map as well as owning every version of all the Aether maps. It was confirmed by Blundell ages ago that all the maps and all endings are canon just different timelines. It was just a matter of fitting it all together.
I spent a shit ton of time pouring through lore. It will be subject to change for now seeing how I haven't run through it myself proper yet (I don't have 3 maps nor friends) and I need to reread the comics but if anyone is interested I would be willing to share my map orders. I personally think it would be fun to play as though we are all trapped in the cycle with them. Which is why I developed this challenge for myself. That and I want to experience the story in a cosmic horror, can't escape the cycle until I succeed, doomed by the narrative, kinda way.
