[⌘]-- Even someone so... people-driven sometimes just needs a quiet time. It usually feels good after an afternoon with people.
This morning? She was a playmate to her Monster Kid who she endearingly calls MiKe (or MortalKombat over Undernet) at the local playground. They’ve been friends since Underground... and that doesn’t seem to have changed. Though she sometimes lags behind a bit since she’s not so ‘firecrackers’ as the young monster.
When Monster Kid’s parents came by to pick them up, the girl decided to go hang out with her three ‘cousins’. Her Asriel who goes by Arcell, her Frisk who goes by Scamp, and her Chara who goes by Riah. Well, mostly hang with Arcell and Scamp-- Riah refused to leave the books, they take studying a bit too seriously. They met with a couple of friends in a local fastfood/diner, mostly from Arcell’s class, as a time to hang out recreationally before they tackled their group project for school. They had a bit of a pizza nuzlocke. Ah yes, the sacred dish. Keep the green peas away from it!
Though eventually they had to actually go work on their school project, and Scamp had to go home to do their homework. It was a good day. But man does days like this kinda leave her on ‘low-battery’. It’s not something bad, really. It just be like that. And frankly, Madotsuki was left feeling a bit... nostalgic today.
Snowdin and Waterfall were always the locations she loved the most. Snowdin because she actually lived there with the skeletons until Scamp freed everybody. Waterfall because she often went there with her Dad, and the glowing flora was honestly kind of relaxing. It probably won’t be as whispery, as nobody has actively recorded messages into the Echo Flowers there for a while now. Which honestly was fine by her.
As Madotsuki was going to leave Snowdin, she crossed paths with Napstablook who was going the opposite direction, likely having had the same idea as her and now was on their way back to the Surface again.
Snowdin did look a little barren without its residents, but Waterfall seemed roughly intact for the most part, just like she remembered it.
Except for that grey door.
Not only did it stay out like a sore thumb, not fitting with the location at all, but it nudged the girl with a faint sense of deja vu. She almost instinctively reached out to open the knob but pulled back before even touching it-- somehow she could tell some energy was just about to open it.
