the notes, each identical in wording if not in author, are strewn throughout the living quarters of several farms crucial to Marcher city-states. when (if) soldiers arrive to investigate, they find bewildered human workers, their elvhen counterparts gone in the night, the papers all that were left behind.

THERE IS SOMETHING FAR MORE PRECIOUS THAN THE FAITH VICTORIA WOULD SEE US CRUSHED UNDER, AS IF THAT LESSON WAS NOT LEARNED THE FIRST TIME, OR THE SECOND, OR THE THIRD.

the spirit burbles in delight, a sound better suited to a young child than a being formless and ageless. to the dreamer’s right, the squelch of feet struggling through mud, a deeper answering laugh as this second, unseen figure catches up to their target. 

the spirit-child shrieks as it’s lifted, as she was, and through further giggling: Amae! din! amae! amae!

You’re the first to know, and that is fitting, I think. First besides her, I mean. I’ve hidden a bit of the sugar we found last month...which you weren’t meant to know yet. Sorry. She hasn’t said anything, but if I know her, I should, we’re getting married (married!!), she’ll want a cake. Just for us. We can’t spare enough for everyone. I know you won’t mind that.

something written by one of the advisors about Alana / something written about Alana, post-Trespasser no one sent this, I just needed to write it

The following notes, in an educated hand, are unsigned, their writer’s desperation clear to even a casual perusal

We’re scrambling as it is. Further Qunari attacks, even if we expect them, could be disastrous, and the majority of our forces have already departed; to find them all, even if they remain in numbers, will take resources I cannot spare. That’s assuming any could be convinced to return. I did not hold their loyalty, after all. 

Are you certain the eluvian cannot be opened? Ask Madame Vivienne again. Even lacking our studies of the mirrors and the pathways, I refuse to believe repairing it is impossible. Others have managed before us.

Find out when those reports went missing.

That leaves only Lavellan. I’ve included an extensive list of missing elves, both from that night and during the invasion attempt. Question the remaining servants as you see fit, and remember that this task needs to be our priority. They and Solas, this Fen’Harel, must be found.
