Flash Fic Music Challenge 2

Remember last week, when a writing prompt challenge to music was suggested by Sassysatsuma? I thought it was quite challenging, but it was also helpful just to start thinking about ideas. Some of them are not anything, but some were good ways to get me thinking about characters and stories that are lying there kind-of abandoned. Maybe I'll do it weekly. Maybe more erratically, because you know that I love danger.

So, here's this week's music flash-fic challenge.

Price stopped and signalled to his left, hearing the new absence of sound as the others halted behind him.  Night vision goggles illuminated the world around him in sickly shades of green. Ahead he could see the ridge, and below that was their objective: an innocent looking complex nestling in the Khazak foothills.

He inhaled, letting it fill his lungs, trying to blow out the cobwebs that he felt like he was filled with. Leaning out onto the cold stone of the sill, he could see the town starting to wake up around him. It felt strange, watching other people getting on with their lives in ignorance. It annoyed him, and he turned away.
