IOTS: Liberation of the Island AU

The initial information about Cody in my au. Cody is highly erratic, and very easy to disturb. He hardly sleeps unless he passes out- and he avoids everyone and everything. He used to confide in his family for help, figuring that if he could get help from anyone that wasn't as traumatized as he was- it would be them.

However, his family just gave him a little attention for a couple days, and left him to his own accord. They are the ones paying for the house he lives in, mainly out of pity- and to keep him away from them.

Cody has locked himself away from everyone else that experienced the events of IOTS and survived- even though everyone kept contact with each other.

They have tried to reach out to him through Cody's family- but Cody's family hasn't relayed any messages to him from them nor mentioned them the few times they have communicated with them.

He doesn't want to let everyone that died go. He was not treat well by a good sum of them, but even so they all treat him a lot better than most of the people in his life had, so he became attached to them and considered them friends. Even if they didn't feel the same way about him.

He mopes around in his house, and doens't bother leaving unless it's to get food to feed himself.

Lately he's been having troubled dreams or hallucinations. This is making him teeter on the thin line he walks.

never in my life would I have considered this, but of course Florence Pugh, queen of recent period dramas, is her fc

i’m picturling like Jane Austen-esque times.

which, of course, Cody Is a huge fan of Jane Austen

i feel like I can’t name her Cody given the time period…. meh.

her parents were omce rich, well to do folks, and now parade around as if they have money—even when her father lost it all to gambling.

this has made them not particularly well liked within their town.

she is absolutely the girl everyone assumes will become a lonely spinster begging in the streets

and that is purely because she *gasp* runs around in fields all day instead of socializing with the other young ladies.

her parents are still incredibly overbearing despite their fall from grace, and they project everything onto their youngest daughter, believing their oldest to be a lost cause

Cody spends every day, and I mean every day, walking around the fields and forests looking for animals and even helping the ones she can.

s all this is going on, a handsome—single—young man comes into town.

his name? Wesley Bishop

he finds Cody charming, as everyone does, but perhaps more so than others.

he’s rich, why is he spending all his time with a girl in the dirt? simple. because he is an asshole, and believes he can make a proper bride out of her.

honestly she has a whole Lizzie Bennett thing going and Wes is a Mr Collins disguised as a Mr Darcy.

he is a garbage man.

anyway, the only people to really give Cody the time of day are the Dearings stablehand, Owen Grady, and a local retired soldier, Logan Elliot.

obviously, it is incredibly unseemly for her to spend all of her time with older unmarried men, but, she truthfully does not give a damn.

the way I love this period AU is unreal tbh…

When It Rains (Cody Carson) *

You and Cody had known each other for about six months when he found out about your fear of thunderstorms. You’d moved into his apartment near the beginning of fall – finally finding a roommate after looking for what felt like forever so you could live closer to your job – so it was understandable that he didn’t know about it until living together for that long. Though, how he found out was what embarrassed you the most.

It wasn’t supposed to storm that night, but one had started developing a little after 4am a few miles away. You remained asleep for the beginning of it – the light thunder and subtle flashes of lightning not disrupting you at all – until it started to get worse. The sudden downpour of rain had been what woke you up, but you didn’t think anything of it – rain was always welcomed in your book. But after opening your eyes for a brief moment to look at the clock on your nightstand, you saw a bright flash out of the corner of your eye. And that was what made your heart start racing.

Your parents knew how you got during storms, so if it had woken one of them up in the middle of the night, they would always come into your room and distract you until it was over. But now, you lived across town and that wasn’t an option anymore. And as much as you trusted that Cody wouldn’t judge you for being scared, you couldn’t make yourself get up and sit with him. However, that wasn’t to say that he wouldn’t help you out anyway.

Being that Cody was an insomniac and already awake, he grew concerned when he passed by your bedroom on his way to get a drink from the kitchen, hearing your small squeaks after every rumble of thunder no matter how loud or soft it was. He quietly knocked on your door, but he didn’t bother waiting for a response before opening it. He found you sitting up against the headboard of your bed, your knees pulled up to your chest, your eyes closed tightly, and your hands covering your ears as you desperately tried to keep your breathing steady. He didn’t know what came over him in that moment – all he knew was that his heart ached seeing you like that and he wanted nothing more than for the crying to stop.

Cody closed your door behind him after stepping into the room, carefully making his way to your nightstand to turn on your lamp. You could hear the click of the lamp turning on, making you jump and open your eyes to find your roommate standing beside your bed. You would have asked him why he was there, but you could already tell he knew by the sympathetic smile on his face.

He climbed onto the bed beside you, opening his arms for you come onto his lap – and you certainly weren’t going to pass up the offer. You and Cody had become incredibly close in your six months of living together, so it wasn’t anything new to be cuddled up to him – although, it was a bit different when you were staining his shirt with your tears. He kept one arm wrapped securely around your lower back while the other hand was in your hair, running his fingers through it as he kissed the side of your forehead over and over again. He would feel you jump every time it thundered, but having him holding you managed to suppress the noises you’d been making before he came into the room.

By the time the storm had passed, you were completely calm again, which was a major feat for you considering you were usually still bawling for a while after it was over. You obviously apologized for ruining his shirt, but Cody assured you it was okay – ‘a little water never hurt anybody’ he told you. You smiled slightly at the comment, climbing off of him and returning to where you’d been before. You said a low ‘thank you’ to which he replied with a ‘you’re welcome’ as well as telling you that you shouldn’t have to be embarrassed to ask him to help you the next time it stormed.

And you never hesitated in seeking him out during a thunderstorm again.

What are your Cody AUs?

OH BOY IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS QUESTION!!

I got a fuck ton of AU’s about this geek, but I’m gonna make it simple with the one worth taking about:

1. “Werewolf” Au. basically an AU where Cody is like a werewolf but with a spider.

2. Ghost Au. Obviously an AU where Cody is a ghost.

3. Portal Au. Imagine The portal 2 multiplayer but it’s with Cody and Noah.

4. Zombie Apocalypse Au. Simply an AU where the zombie apocalypse happens.

5. Alien Au. Self-explanatory.

6. Apocalyptic Au. Basically an AU where the world went through a somewhat short apocalypse.

7. Victim Au. Basically an Au of island of the Slaughter where Cody gets killed while looking for Noah.

8. Sci-Fi Au. It’s an Au where the world got into some stuff and now almost everyone has something technical about them.

9 Fantasy Shapeshifter AU. A Fantasy Au where Cody is a Shapeshifter who escaped captivity and was wondering around as a cat.

And an honorable mention to the Au where Cody is a full grown adult with two adopted daughters and a cat.

[Undercover Model Cody AU]

Context:

Cody has moved into an apartment with two new roommates and a cat. His Roommates are terrible at taking care of the place and don’t pay the bills.

Cody, now trying to deal with the absolute bullshit he has, tries to find a job to pay the bills and not get kicked out.

On his little journey, he finds a flier that says “MODELING CAREER NOW HIRING!! SIGN UP NOW TO BECOME A STAR!!”

Cody looked at the picture and thinks to himself. He figured “why not?” So he went to the location for the job.

The people working there are a bit securable since they wanted a girl and not a boy. But one of the mangers recommends that they should make Cody hide his identity and make him look like some random girl.

Cody was a bit concerned about having to hide his identity but figured it was for the best since you know…he was on a tv show.

He had to practice on a lot of things like walking in heels, being comfortable in clothing that showed his skin, wearing wigs and makeup, and posing well enough that no one can notice his true identity.

So, he finally got everything down, he has a fake name ready to go, a type of theme, and etc.

Now the big part, modeling. Cody was a bit nervous about it and worried that it would fail and he would have to find another job.

But he proceeded, he made it this far and wasn’t going to back down. And boy did he make a good decision.

The pictures went virtual, people were inlove with his alter identity, which he named “Kinka”, and how beautiful her pictures were.

People loved the model taking beautiful photos while hiding their face, it felt unique to a assent.

But of course, Cody was more surprised that he actually did well. He was getting popular and earning a lot of cash.

But there was still a problem…

Cody still needed to hide the fact that he was Kinka from everyone, even from his friends. If word ever got out that he was a model, he would different get nonstop reactions and questions.

So, he did. He hide what his job was and only say “I only work part time jobs” even though it wasn’t true.

Every now or so, he would say or do something that would get people looking at all confused or surprised.

Like being able to walk in high heels, posing for something to a point where he looked like a model, or etc.

He doesn’t want his friends nor roommates to find out that he works as a famous model, and he doesn’t plan on telling anyone.
